Waiting on Permissions

[edit]

I'm waiting on Permissions to move forward, I won't upload until that's been cleared. How long does the process usually take and is there anything I can do to speed it along. --AGWriterly (talk) 13:54, 24 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Got the permission, thanks, we're going to add sources and hopefully an image gallery etc. --AGWriterly (talk) 14:38, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Clark Hulings

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Clark Hulings requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant

copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Your recent edits

[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 05:11, 24 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Good news that OTRS have done their thing. They are all volunteers so it can take a little while. I would be happy to help out in any way I can, but I will be leaving on Saturday for a 2 week vacation and will not have access to the internet. I will see what I can do before I leave, and happy to help out when I get back. – ukexpat (talk) 13:13, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

December 2008

[edit]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to The Tales of Beedle the Bard. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by some search engines, including Google. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 23:02, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Still spamlinking in 2009

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you use Wikipedia for advertising, as you did with The Elements of Style, you will be blocked from editing. --Orange Mike | Talk 14:36, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Clarkhulingspic.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Clarkhulingspic.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. mattbr 07:13, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
