Regarding Edits and Defaces

[edit]

User:Toddst1 last time i reported User:ChrisAnorthosis for vandalism you said that it wasnt a vandalism, how about his new complete deface? I didn't issue a warning because i don't know if this looks like vandalism to you i only mentioned the analysis of his activity as you can see [here]. Furthermore if you would like to see what i mean check [history page of Anorthosis] which is all there. (Argento1985 12:38, 4 July 2013 (UTC))[reply]

about the number i dont add any numbers on any anorthosis player -.- the numbers was in players

also Valentinos Sielis was the 3rd captain in Anorthosis 1st official training — Preceding unsigned comment added by ChrisAnorthosis (talkcontribs) 13:54, 4 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Can you show me some specific diffs? Toddst1 (talk) 14:11, 4 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

whats the matter with "TBA" tba is there on purpsoe, why to be erased? its common on all football clubs. also erased all the U21 and U18 subnames? reason? ->Last Update: July 04, > he changed this and also added a ref from a friendly game that at least 2 players didnt even participate and werent to the squad at that day was colautti and demetriou, these guys didnt even attend, as with his updates shall we remove them? . this is only happening on "national teams call-ups so the people can see how players got tested. the squad of the team is does not matter on participation on a specific game, so this cant be a criteria nor ref.

 • on this edit: he expanded the year format 2

to this edit: he shrinked it 3 furthermore onto this he removed the month of the mitosevic activity, which was 4 months and now its visible as an entire year. these edits where there for ages and noone got bothered, is it required to make a change just for the change? All my changes are changes on purpose, even cleanups are on purpose. and thats wasnt a cleanup.

 • whats the difference and whats the benefit of renaming this?

reserve squad is the right name but not even used it. 4

 • eu flag on a Eu Category? why

5

 • active players? international players? new category

6

you are an admin you know whats useful and whats useless better than me, thats why i mentioned you to have a look
furthermore if you look back to the history of the edits of that user u'll see offensive editing being used more than contributing Argento1985 14:39, 4 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

article review

[edit]

i recently got a notice that the page [i started] was reviewed by somebody, what does this mean? Argento1985 12:51, 9 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Basically, it means that someone looked over it and marked it as "patrolled", probably through either Special:NewPages or Special:NewPagesFeed. This doesn't mean it's perfect, just that it didn't meet any CSD criteria or anything else that needed immediate attention. Happy editing! ~Charmlet -talk- 16:11, 9 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

AIV

[edit]

I noticed you have made two reports at AIV. You haven't linked the article in question, or given examples (diffs) of the vandalism in either of them. It makes admin's job easier if they don't have to go searching for the alleged vandalism.Flat Out let's discuss it 12:12, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

 • don't disturb my wall with intention to be watched by admins, your 3 recent entries on me are absolutely useless and out of order. I don't know who gave you the awards but might be mistaken. Let administrators do the work and threat me, as long you are not one, don't start chit chat on my wall providing worthless and useless content without any real matter. Argento1985 13:16, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I won't waste my time trying to help you in future. Flat Out let's discuss it 13:21, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
your edits looks like to me a direct attack and nothing that i'll get helped out. Furthermore is a good way to make administrators watch you. you have no intention to help, just to show off, thats what you do. Argento1985 13:28, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

removing warnings

[edit]

how can i report a user who removes warnings given to his own wall? Argento1985 13:38, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Have you told the user already on his/her talk page? Please link his talk page so I can see --JustBerry (talk) 13:55, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from abusing warning or blocking templates. Doing so is a violation of Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Please use the user warnings sandbox for any tests you may want to do, or take a look at our introduction page to learn more about contributing to the encyclopedia. Thank you. Please use warning or blocking templates with caution. I have noticed that you have been overly involved in reporting users, some cases having minuscule or no sign of wrongdoing. My advice would be to please stop. JustBerry (talk) 14:15, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please look at your own contributions for reference. Once again, I would suggest that you stay out of reporting users. --JustBerry (talk) 14:19, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
This so funny i asked help for other reason and i got a warning for another. this story came through a comic book for sure. If there is a warning i can use against "lick an admin" lemme know, this is unfair i have nothing else to discuss, best of regards. Argento1985 14:23, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Leave me a message on my talk page if you have any further questions/concerns. --JustBerry (talk) 14:24, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Again, please stay out of warning users. Focus on quality editing. --JustBerry (talk) 14:25, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A comment from Anna

[edit]

May butt in and make a good faith comment or two?

 • Flat Out is a very thoughtful and trusted editor.
 • BLP violations can occur at any article, not just one where the subject title is a person. I didn't look at the diff, so if it's a football club but the edit was about a person, it can be a BLP violation.
 • We can all remove warnings from our own talk page.
 • I don't think Argento1985 should "stay out" of reporting users. Just be more cautious and patient. Level 1, level 2, etc, and watch the contributions.
 • Please let's not template each other. It's so unfriendly. We're all colleagues here.
 • The best thing to do is always assume good faith and try to sort things out in a friendly way. That always works.
 • I think everyone is just trying to do the right thing. Let's all make up, be friends, and carry on, okay? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 14:37, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Templating Kokoskokou

[edit]

That's not even needed. If you really want to get results, write a short, personal note. Get him talking. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 14:42, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Kokoskokou hasn't communicated at all. His edits are disputed and have been reverted. He must see this. So why argue about what template and what level? Just appeal for communication. It doesn't matter if his edits are right or wrong. The problem is that he refuses to discuss and carries on. If he persists without communicating, write to me personally and I will give him a final warning and block him if necessary. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 14:50, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Follow up: I posted at his talk User talk:Kokoskokou#Anorthosis Famagusta F.C. asking him to communicate. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 15:17, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

[edit]

Hello there. I would just like to ask you formally to please be extra careful about the warnings you issue. Please ensure that you have the right template. Be polite and civil. Be patient. You'd be surprised what a low level warning can do. Monitor the user and take things step by step. I'm happy you're working to protect the project from vandals, and I would just like to help ensure you're doing things in the best possible way.

There would also be no harm in taking a bit of a break from warning editors, and spending some time to read up on the relevant policies and guidelines.

Many thanks, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 15:23, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Anna Frodesiak, thanks for your entry even if you mentioned or accepted from the berrys issue that i might should stop editing, all i can see here is two administrators and one verified user attacking me until you placed your entry which is the most acceptable by every side that somebody can see it. admin tod followed the legal and the hierarchy of rules to attack me, even if he done the right way he used excessive aggression on me. I just tried to keep Anorthosis Famagusta F.C. under valid and verified entries, sources. About Berry, he just defended imo, the older user. He tried not to find a reason to give me a highlight or to support any of my observations. I just don't wanna go deeper, the wall of each user is the mirror of his activity. I'll try to be more reasonable in future. Again thanks for entering my talk. Argento1985 16:33, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Argento1985, I just wanted to let you know that I did not tell you to "stop editing." What I said was that you may want to take a break from warning people so that you can get a sense of anti-vandalism. I am thrilled to see new vandal-fighters volunteer every day, but please be mindful of your edits, as Anna and I had mentioned earlier. Keep in mind that we are not here to criticize you, but rather, to make you a better vandal-fighter. I certainly appreciate your acceptance and willing to be more responsible in the future, which I do have significant hopes for. It would not be a bad idea, though, to sign up for the WP:CVUA to learn more about vandal-fighting and WP:Adoption to learn more about Wikipedia policies, and Wikipedia in general. Keep in mind that these programs are not "schools" but will merely help you become a more reputable editor and vandal-fighter. Please let me know any questions you may have, preferably on my talk page, about what I said or Wikipedia in general. --JustBerry (talk) 18:23, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Regarding [7] and [8]: I kindly suggest that you add the word "please" to your posts more often. Newcomers respond very well to that. It's much more effective that a "Do not...!" Thank you kindly, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 00:33, 11 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Doxa Katokopias F.C., you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Portuguese (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi there ARGENTO, AL from Portugal here,

I have already taken care of what you suggested, hopefully you'll like it. Happy week --AL (talk) 00:35, 5 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Angelos Georgiou has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the prod blp tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Possible removal of AWB access due to inactivity

[edit]

Hello! There is currently a request for approval of a bot to manage the AutoWikiBrowser CheckPage by removing inactive users, among other tasks. You are being contacted because you may qualify as an inactive user of AWB. First, if you have any input on the proposed bot task, please feel free to comment at the BRFA. Should the bot task be approved, your access to AWB may be uncontroversially removed if you do not resume editing within a week's time. This is purely for routine maintenance of the CheckPage, and is not indicative of wrongdoing on your part. You will be able regain access at any time by simply requesting it at WP:PERM/AWB. Thank you! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 23:36, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
