Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Belarusian Sport Solidarity Foundation
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Belarusian Sport Solidarity Foundation, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Bbb23 (talk) 12:05, 8 August 2023 (UTC)
- Hello, @Bbb23.
- Thanks for your feedback.
- I can see that another administrator has already declined the deletion of the article, and I appreciate that.
- The subject of the Belarusian Solidarity Foundation is highly notable, contrary to what you seem to have stated as the reason for "speedy deletion". So much so that the Secretary of State Anthony Blinken himself has officially recognized the organization's achievements, as did dozens of media outlets worldwide, such as BBC, Reuters, U.S. Bar Association, and so many others.
- Indeed, this is my first article on Wikipedia, but I have written hundreds of others in my career.
- I would ask you to please indicate the exact elements of the article that may not conform to some of Wikipedia's policies. I will edit them accordingly.
- Otherwise, to me as a long-term Wikipedia user the article looks fine.
- With best regards,
- (Artrage (talk) 15:29, 8 August 2023 (UTC))

For success on Wikipedia we need to work together
[edit]As you have seen, I have replied to your question about the BSSF. It is the question that I wish to look at with you.
Wisely, you have submitted your draft for a review. That is good.
Equally wisely, you have requested clarification from the latest declining reviewer, which would be good were it not to have been a demand. Please just ask quietly and calmly when you would like clarification.
Please recognise that reviewers are human beings with all the attributes of human beings. They volunteer to review your draft. Our role as reviewers is to seek to ensure that an article will not immediately be subject to one of our deletion processes when it is accepted. That is why we push it back to the author. We want to accept articles. Pushing them back for no reason just increases the workload for everyone, you included.
A reviewer is not perfect. They do make errors. An experienced reviewer makes fewer errors than a new one. They are human beings. Please threat them as such, especially you are certain they are in error. The tone of the message you left will not have endeared you to the reviewer you left it for. Do you think that aggravating them will get yo a good response? That is a rhetorical question.
Next time please play nice. It works. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 11:56, 29 October 2024 (UTC)
