- Hi @Liance,
- I've added a paragraph to the top of the 'History' section, describing and referencing the sources that provide the information presented there. I hope this satisfies your requirement.
- I have also expanded on the list of notable applications that use the library, providing references for these also.
- cheers,
- -- Attila Attipaci (talk) 07:19, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
- PS. I have also removed all external references from the body, and instead added them as references when appropriate (or else dropped the external links if there was a publication reference already).
- cheers,

- Hi,
- Yes, that was my doing. I have put a slightly modified version of the proposed Wikipedia content onto the mentioned site, since the Wikipedia article was not coming online, and I thought the content should be public regardless of the Wikipedia review process. I can easily remedy this either (a) by removing the duplicated content from the github.io site, or (b) by removing the copright statement on the github.io site. Let me know if you have a preference for one over the other.
- Thanks, -- Attila. Attipaci (talk) 15:00, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
- Either option is fine. Tavantius (talk) 15:06, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
- OK, I took down the copyright from the github.io page. It now simply says 'nom.tam.fits documentation' in the footer instead. Let me know if there is anything else to be done.

- Dear @Tavantius. I apologize that this lands on you, since you have been fair and responsive -- and helpful. I cannot say the same of some of the other editors I have ancountered. It looks like @CactusWriter simply decided to delete the draft article, before I could respond to the copyright issue, which was no more than an unfortunate accident. I simply tried to make the draft Wikipedia article available while it was under review for 6 months, not realizing that the tool I used automatically added a copyright to it. That copyright was never intentional, and the Wikipedia article I wrote preceded its pblishing anyway. It's frustrating to spend something like 100 hours writing an article, jumping through dozens of semi-arbitrary hoops, only to have ones work discarded by an overzealous editor. I'm a scientist who is used to peer review, but I never had someone simply erase my work without having a chance to respond. I hope you can restore the article, because I spent a ridiculous amount of time crafting it to the whim of other editors, who don't really seem to care the slightest bit about the work one puts into the creation of draft articles... Given that the reason for deletion was silly, and that the copyright issue has been remedied, I really hope you can restore the article with all the references that have now been lost... Thanks in advance. -- Attila Attipaci (talk) 01:42, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
- I can't, however, you can request undeletion at WP:RFU, as long as you explain why the copyright problem is solly. Tavantius (talk) 02:18, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
