Paul László pictures

[edit]

I am the son of Paul László; I would be happy to upload the pictures, but I'm new to Wikipedia and I'm not sure how to do so. Please help if you can. Thank you. Laszlo2 06:01, 10 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fremo hamburg

[edit]

I'd like to ask who gave you permission to post the text in this article and why you didn't post it in the German wikipedia? Its title is also wrong; it should be Fremo Hamburg with a capital H. -Yupik 21:51, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually I dont know why this article appears in this Wiki - I thought I uploaded it in a special modell railroad wiki in german language. Perhaps I should not keep too many windows open...
Anyway, as I am responsible for the original content at [http:/www.fremo.org/regional/hamburg.htm www.fremo.org] I have the permission to authorise further uses of the text. --Bahnmoeller 23:20, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, that's good to know! :D Next time, could you put a note about that on the discussion page? And do feel free to put the article here, but preferably in English 8) -Yupik 07:27, 21 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mississippi River, Ont

Here you are http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Mississippiriver.jpg -- Earl Andrew - talk 20:30, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bahnmoeller - I've always had problems trying to move things to commons (something to do with the settings on my browser) - but feel free to move the map there yourself if you wish. Grutness...wha? 19:40, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. AfD Nomination

[edit]

In the future, please be more careful to format your AfD posts by following the guidelines for formatting them. Your nomination got lost in the list of the nominations because of incorrect formatting. I fixed it for you, but in the future please be sure to follow instructions such as these -- they're here for a reason. GorillaWarfare talk-review me! 13:49, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I followed the rather complicated instructions - but it did not worked as described. In the german wikipedia there are just two steps. --Bahnmoeller (talk) 15:31, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Help me!

[edit]

I would like to get in touch with wikipedians from the Vancouver (BC) area.

My daugther (born Nov 2003) would like to attend school in the Vancouver area next year. Perhaps somebody is interested to offer a homestay for her? Or she can meet from time to time with other wikipedians. Bahnmoeller (talk) 17:24, 7 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You could try the Vancouver WikiProject; however, users may not want to be contacted about non-Wikipedia matters, and are under no obligation to respond to your inquiries or divulge their identities. 331dot (talk) 17:33, 7 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@331dot: Wikipedia is WP:NOTAFORUM. "Article talk pages exist solely to discuss how to improve articles; they are not for general discussion about the subject of the article, nor are they a help desk for obtaining instructions or technical assistance", not for discussing possible accommodations. I don't even think there's a place at the village pump to discuss this sort of thing. Yes I get that Vancouver is expensive and a big city, but Wikipedia isn't the right place to discuss how or where to stay in it. Try Criagslist, Kajiji or other websites that are geared toward accommodations. Walter Görlitz (talk) 14:39, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Walter Görlitz That is, of course, quite correct; I guess I had assume they would use that page to contact editors as opposed to requesting assistance, but I see how what I said was misguided. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 14:42, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Its not about accomodation for free. Its about one young wikipedian who would like to meet others while away from home. And by chance anyone might be involved with these school programms anyway or think about it. Everything is paid by the school district (which in turn presents the bill to the parents). --Bahnmoeller (talk) 14:48, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The point here is that you need to set up this sort of arrangement off of Wikipedia. 331dot (talk) 14:50, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Wikimania

Hi Bahnmoeller

Yes, I'm still interested in Copenhagen to Stockholm on Wed 14 Aug. Kastrup Airport would be fine.

I'll be staying in the city centre on Tue night, but it's easier for car drivers to find airports than places in city centres. Also, if I travel out to Kastrup I get to go on another train ride.

I suggest you use Geolocator to work out precisely where you want me to wait for you, and post the coordinates on my talk page. I'll then be there at 13:30.

Yes, I know Patrick, but only online. He and I have been collaborating on East Timor. I've been uploading photos, and he's been adding them to articles. Also, I've translated some of his de.wiki articles into English. I've also advised him that the copyright law in East Timor seems to be the same as in Indonesia in 1999, so he's been uploading photos taken by the East Timor government (which are copyright-free according to that law).

James Fleming

[edit]

The names 'James', 'Jim' and 'Jimmy' are used interchangeably and all 3 are listed at the James Fleming disambiguation. Also your changes have been reverted, do not restore them without consensus per WP:BRD. GiantSnowman 13:23, 27 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, they are wrongfully listed there. You do not own your mistakes.
[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Free the Nipple (film), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page John Keating (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 07:24, 10 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Bruse

[edit]

Sorry I'm confused! You reverted to the name of the image pre-rename rather than remove it, so I reverted further to fully remove it and add back the removed short description - how was that allowing copyvio? KylieTastic (talk) 21:00, 11 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

File:Michael Bruse (2018).png was the original and had a higher resolution, but was deleted in commons. The deleting admin was informaed some minutes ago. Unfourtunately it redirected to:

File:Bildschirmfoto 2019-11-09 um 13.33.45.png which is a copyvio and was/is nominated for deletion. --Bahnmoeller (talk) 20:49, 11 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I will add the right image back into the article soonest (when the admin corrected his error) --Bahnmoeller (talk) 21:05, 11 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Elmer H. Almquist moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Elmer H. Almquist. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and the poster reverted a previous draftify without explanation. In the future, if you disagree with a draftification, I recommend submitting the draft for review instead. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Mason (talk) 23:55, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If the German wikipedia is strict - the US counterpart is just biased. 3 sources were in the text. Bahnmoeller (talk) 12:25, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This is not German wikipedia. The links you have at the end of the text aren't very convincing. However, that doesn't mean you should delete the draft. Mason (talk) 13:36, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
