Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions; however, please remember the essential rule of respecting copyrights. Edits to Wikipedia, such as your edit to the page Amish, may not contain material from copyrighted sources unless used with permission. It is almost never okay to copy extensive text out of a book or website and paste it into a Wikipedia article with little or no alteration, though you can clearly and briefly quote copyrighted text in the right circumstances. Content that does not comply with this legal rule must be removed. For more information on this, see:

If you still have questions, there is a new contributor's help page, or you can click here to ask a question on your talk page and someone will be along to answer it shortly. As you get started, you may find this short tutorial helpful:

Information icon Hello, I'm Peaceray. I noticed that you recently removed content from Orthodox Mennonites without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. You may change the URL, but please refrain from changing the other citation parameters. Peaceray (talk) 21:09, 7 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This was originally published in a paper journal. Therefore the OCLC & ISSN are still valid. Do not remove this information. Do not make it harder to find a library that has the information. Peaceray (talk) 22:07, 7 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your citation work

[edit]

I appreciate the work you're doing on citations. I wanted to point you to a resource I have found particularly helpful. It's a tool called Citer at https://tools.wmflabs.org/citer/ This lets you input an ISBN or DOI and then it produces a complete citation template. Just a friendly tip.
