Welcome to Wikipedia!

[edit]

Hello Basejumper123~enwiki, welcome to Wikipedia!

Here are some tips:

If you feel a change is needed, feel free to make it yourself! Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone (yourself included) can edit any article by following the Edit this page link. Wikipedia convention is to be bold and not be afraid of making mistakes. If you're not sure how editing works, have a look at How to edit a page, or try out the Sandbox to test your editing skills.

If, for some reason, you are unable to fix a problem yourself, feel free to ask someone else to do it. Wikipedia has a vibrant community of contributors who have a wide range of skills and specialties, and many of them would be glad to help. As well as the wiki community pages there are IRC Channels, where you are more than welcome to ask for assistance.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page. Thanks and happy editing, Alphax τεχ 10:20, 28 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

New Age cleanup marker

[edit]

You added a cleanup marker to the New Age beliefs section but have not explained what has prompted you to do this on the discussion page. Would you add some comments there. Thanks Lumos3 09:49, 20 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Andrea Bocelli Cover.png)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Andrea Bocelli Cover.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Executive Order 13198, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.lib.umich.edu/govdocs/text/faith1.txt. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Wikisource is the site for source documents. If you want to write an article about the executive order, then this is the proper place. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Corvus cornix (talkcontribs) 22:53, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Extrajudicial prisoners

[edit]

Hello--sorry to sorta cut you off at Talk:Extrajudicial_prisoners_of_the_United_States#Clarification. It's just that that's the sort of thing which can begin a heated debate which isn't really aimed at improving the article. If your message is about improving the article, then I'm sorry I misinterpreted, but maybe you can try to make it more clearly targeted. I'm not sure where the best place online would be to go actually get your clarification. Maybe the talk page of editors who've worked on that page a lot?
