[edit]12.44.252.196
[edit]Hi, Bearian. You blocked Special:Contributions/12.44.252.196 for a week a few hours ago for vandalism, but I don't see any recent vandalism from the IP and I see no warnings since July. I think this may have been in error. Could you look into it? Thank you. WODUP 05:40, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
Family of Barack Obama / Sourcechecker419
[edit]I've just put a note on Talk:Family of Barack Obama which quotes your message to Sourcechecker419. I'd appreciate your input. It strikes me as a situation where only one side (mine, of course) is right;-) Bellagio99 (talk) 18:59, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
- Bearian,User:Sourcechecker419 is still at it. I couldn't find anything new on his User talk:Sourcechecker419 page. What do you suggest? Probably best if you respond here. Bellagio99 (talk) 02:08, 6 November 2008 (UTC). Bellagio99 (talk) 02:10, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

[edit]That was tagged and deleted as G11 not A7. Note the use of "our" as in "Crunch health clubs are home to a unique fusion of entertainment and fitness, one that we have pioneered from our inception". I usually wouldn't disregard another admin's {{hangon}}. Toddst1 (talk) 00:54, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
Arena Leisure Plc
[edit]Hi, Bearian I created the article after finding several red links to them. Im not a big fan of stub articles but felt that they were Notable enough as they control so many of the UK's race courses and are a major share holder in the race broadcasting company with Sky. Its a start for somebody with more knowledge of the subject to build on - BulldozerD11 (talk) 03:47, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
NYC Meetup: You are invited!
[edit]New York City Meetup
|
In the afternoon, we will hold a session dedicated to meta:Wikimedia New York City activities, finalize and approve bylaws, interact with representatives from the Software Freedom Law Center, and hold salon-style group discussions on Wikipedia and the other Wikimedia projects (see the June meeting's minutes and the September meeting's minutes).
We'll also review our recent Wikis Take Manhattan event, and make preparations for our exciting successor Wikipedia Loves Art! bonanza, being planned with the Brooklyn Museum for February.
In the evening, we'll share dinner and chat at a local restaurant, and (weather permitting) hold a late-night astronomy event at Columbia's telescopes.
You can add or remove your name from the New York City Meetups invite list at Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/Invite list.
To keep up-to-date on local events, you can also join our mailing list.

Detroit Lions
[edit]Hey the semi-protection for the Detroit Lions article expires today but they're still winless. I think you should semi-protect it and 2008 Detroit Lions season until the end of the season. Thanks TomCat4680 (talk) 23:38, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
Thank you
[edit]I don't believe in template RfA thankyous so this is a short handwritten note to say thanks for your support in my RfA which closed successfully a few hours ago, and I'll work hard to meet the expectations of all those who took part and had a say. I note your comment re WP:AL - it needs more content editors more than anything else but I'll certainly continue to cotnribute to it in any way I can. Feel free to stop by with any advice or suggestions, regarding either admin actions or potential improvements to the quality of Australian law articles and ways to encourage more participation in the WikiProject. And thanks again. Euryalus (talk) 11:53, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

CU
[edit]CU is granted by arbcom and they just gave out 4 a month ago. CU has nothing to do with being a crat. Crat is by RFB. You get CU by requesting it from arbcom, but few are given. The next most likely time is after the arbcom elections are over. — Rlevse • Talk • 00:04, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
- I see Rlevse and Kojidude have helped me and answered your questions. I'd just like to add to what Rlevse said, though. I, for one, don't see us recruiting anymore checkusers soon. It is by no means a regular occurence, and it seems like we have enough for now. If, once elected, some of the new Arbitrators intend to help out there, then we will almost certainly give them checkuser rights, as has been the custom for a very long time, but I doubt we'll be recruiting any time soon, even after the Arbitrators are elected. --Deskana (talk) 06:55, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
I have taken off the "hoax" tag and other maintenance templates you put on this article because, rather to my surprise, I find it correctly reports what Koestler says in The Act of Creation. However a bit of searching has left me in some doubt as to whether Koestler adopted a name which, in medical terms, had another meaning, so I have rewritten the introductory sentence, put an {{expert-subject}} tag on, and explained my doubts on the talk page. - The brain is very odd indeed - I heard of someone who after a minor stroke could not remember the names of vegetables. Just vegetables - everything else was fine. JohnCD (talk) 21:48, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
Hi Bearian, can you look here please? I've attempted to explain everything, without effect. I don't want to look after uncommunicative and disruptive users. Is it possible to do something with this? Thanks. Have a nice day. --Vejvančický (talk) 20:14, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

[edit]On the whole I agree with you [1], except it is not you family IP, and God knows what details this strange peson has got hold of - you might feel differently if it was. Can you not see that? We all have a right to privacy.Giano (talk) 23:44, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

Thank you to all who participated in my RFA- regardless of whether you supported or opposed, all feedback is important to me. I look forward to proving in the coming months that the trust placed in me by the community is not misplaced. |
Hi can you please semi-protect 2008 Detroit Lions season for the rest of the NFL season? They're still winless and the article is being heavily vandalised. Thanks. TomCat4680 (talk) 01:17, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

Bearian, I would like to thank you for your participation in my recent Request for Adminship, which passed with 112 supports, 4 opposes and 5 neutrals. A special mention goes out to Stwalkerster and Pedro for nominating me, thanks a lot for having trust in me! In response to the neutrals, I will try to double check articles that have been tagged for speedy deletion before I CSD them and will start off slowly with the drama boards of ANI and AN to ensure that I get used to them. In response to the oppose !votes on my RfA, I will check that any images I use meet the non-free content criteria and will attempt to handle any disputes or queries as well as I can. If you need my help at all, feel free to simply ask at my talk page and I'll see if I can help. Once again, thank you for your participation, and have a great day! :) The Helpful One 22:11, 25 November 2008 (UTC) |
design by neurolysis | to add this barnstar to your awards page, simply copy and paste {{subst:User:Neurolysis/THOBS}} and remove this bottom text | if you don't like thankspam, please accept my sincere apologies
Since you haven't responded to User_talk:Ronz#Paralegal, I thought it might be easier to discuss it here.
I'm not sure what your objection is. Removing the links, thinking the links are inappropriate, characterizing the edit as "linkspam", or something else. --Ronz (talk) 17:06, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
time's over!
[edit]Hi, Bearian, don't you think it's time to delete the pages "Neuropsychophysiology" and "Michele Trimarchi" as they didn't add anything useful to improve the issues so far? It wouldn't seem serious to leave them on Wikipedia, don't you think so? Have a good work and a nice night.
