Video game stubs

[edit]

Hi Beqwk, nice work on the well sourced video game stubs you've been creating recently. After reviewing several of them, I have a couple of suggestions for you to keep in mind for future articles:

  • When citing video game magazines, use the {{cite magazine}} template rather than {{cite book}} for proper formatting. Use the |title= parameter for the title of the article you're referencing and the |work= or |magazine= parameter for the name of the magazine. For non-English sources, it's recommended to use the |language= parameter to speicify the language as well. My edit here is an example of this formatting.
  • Stub tags should be placed at the very bottom of the article with two blank lines after the categories (see WP:STUBSPACING).

Nice work once again, and let me know if you have any questions. – Lord Bolingbroke (talk) 23:12, 27 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Metamor Jupiter moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Metamor Jupiter. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. voorts (talk/contributions) 08:07, 28 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have sent you a note about a page you started

[edit]

Hi Beqwk. Thank you for your work on Virtual Cushion. Another editor, Voorts, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

For citations, you should use the issue parameter, not the edition parameter for different issues of magazines. Happy editing.

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Voorts}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

Hi there. You're rapidly changing links from product bundles to video game compilations even in cases where the article is talking specifically about a product bundle that does not fit the description of a compilation. Please slow down. -- ferret (talk) 18:54, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

About video game compilation articles

[edit]

I have noticed you have been creating numerous articles on video game compilations like Irem Arcade Classics and Irem Arcade Hits. The fact that articles don't exist for these compilations is not an accident, generally speaking they are usually not considered viable for a standalone page since they are simply a bundle pack of games that already have articles, and most content if the article were fleshed out would just be a copy-paste. Only when something is greatly different about the compilation, like Atari 50 (which is a sort of "virtual museum"), is it considered viable. I would urge you to reconsider making articles about these unless the compilation is unique in some way, as they will probably end up being deleted. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 21:42, 1 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Final warning

[edit]

Hi, I'm Serge, an Admin here on Wikipedia. While I appreciate your enthusiasm...I need you to slow it down and take more care with your article creations. You're creating them at a very fast pace, and they're...quite sloppy. Some aren't even really in paragraph form, but almost like some sort of collection of bulletpoints that should be covered in writing an actual article. Articles like this simply aren't ready.

If you're short on time, please consider writing them in the WP:DRAFT area. You can take your time there, with no need to rush out half-baked articles. And getting a second opinion by running it through WP:AFC can help you learn when its the right time to be publishing articles.

If you have questions, feel free to ask. Or discuss with WP:VG - Wikipedia's community of video game editors. But please take this to heart. I'd rather help you create better content than have to restrict your editing. Sergecross73 msg me 03:01, 13 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
