Speedy deletion of Lotus (jamband)

[edit]

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Oore (talk) 04:30, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Brent kado. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you.

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with Lotus (rock band). If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. - Unpopular Opinion (talk) 18:09, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Brent Kado

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Brent Kado, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. AfD nomination of Brent Kado

[edit]

An editor has nominated Brent Kado, an article which you have created or worked on, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Brent Kado and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. EdJohnston (talk) 23:01, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia

[edit]

I see you have had one hell of an introduction to the wide world of Wikipedia, although you signed up a while ago, you haven't participated. I wanted to drop a quick line to seriously say hi and hope you stick around a while. Please don't take the deletion stuff personally. We really do have policies here that have good reasons to exist, and we editors tend to be a bit rough at times to new comers. Even I went to bat to keep your Lotus article (and will continue to), but can't support the vanity piece you wrote on Brent Kado. Wow. But hey, thats the way it works here. If you are really interested in participating in Wikipedia, I strongly suggest working on editing some existing articles for a while, learn the basic policies. Start articles in your own user space to develop some iron clad sources first (this is still what I do after almost 8,000 edits in 2 years here.). Anyway, hope it all works out for you. If you have questions, feel free to ask. I'm just another editor here, not an admin, but I'm on and off quite a bit. PHARMBOY ( moo ) ( plop ) 23:01, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
