Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Cesar Chavez Student Center. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. SwisterTwister talk 23:21, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you use Wikipedia for soapboxing, promotion or advertising, as you did at Cesar Chavez Student Center, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. SwisterTwister talk 02:40, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Briantrejo, you are invited to the Teahouse, a forum on Wikipedia for new editors to ask questions about editing Wikipedia, and get support from peers and experienced editors. Please join us!
I, and the rest of the hosts, would be more than happy to answer any questions you have! SarahStierch (talk) 01:08, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

One of the reasons is that you repeatedly added "mission" statements and "our", such statements are viewed as promotional and are unnecessary to an encyclopedia. Sentences such as "The Cesar Chavez Student Center provides a variety of rooms for meetings and events and offers support services through the Meeting Services Department" are one of the sentences that are promotional and unnecessary. Mentioning this may be useful at the company's website but not for an encyclopedia, an encyclopedia article should focus with the history and other significant details. Additionally, the article's sources are all affiliated with the subject, the article needs third-party sources such as news articles. If you wish to improve the article, I strongly recommend visiting Wikipedia:Writing better articles. SwisterTwister talk 03:37, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Building Maps of the Cesar Chavez Student Center.pdf)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Building Maps of the Cesar Chavez Student Center.pdf. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:23, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
