License tagging for Image:Sasvar13.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Sasvar13.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 23:05, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

I can help. Did you take this photo yourself? Or did you find it on a website?

  • If you took the photo yourself, write "This is my photo" and tag it with {{NoRightsReserved}}or {{PD-self}} (this means that you waive all rights to the image) or with a Creative Commons license. The only allowable CC licenses are cc-by-sa or cc.
  • If you found it on a webiste, state which website you got it on. Then tag it with {{Non-free fair use in}} and put it on whichever article it belongs on in this forrat: <tt>[[Image:Sasvar.jpg|200px|thumb|right|(caption here)]]</tt>

Hope that helps. Hbdragon88 19:25, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You perhaps know that the article (your improved article, of course) should exist under the correct name, so the version without accent should be moved. If you tried to do so, you probably found it was not possible. But the correct solution is to use Wikipedia:Requested moves, instead of re-linking the name in the articles to an incorrect version. The article Miklos Ybl will soon be moved to its proper place, the current Miklós Ybl will be overwritten and no redirect will be necessary from the "Miklos" variant. I've added the entry for this move at the above Wikipedia page but next time you can also do it and an administrator will do it for you. You don't have to preserve a wrong name in an article only because the proper version is already occupied. Adam78 18:26, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

We haven't had to wait too long: the move has been done. I've fixed the links. Adam78 22:56, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know what caption you mean but if it would be more informative than the present version, certainly go ahead. Adam78 07:49, 20 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article A. Hall and Sons Terra Cotta, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. In future please do not add machine translations of other language wikipedia articles to this wikipedia, as you did with L'Abbaye de l'Epau. All you have done is create a very poor and difficult to understand article, which will most likely remain that way for sometime. If you are incapable of translating a page yourself, please follow the correct procedure at WP:TRANSLATION--Jac16888 Talk 11:44, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited The Student Prince (film), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages German and Austrian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Proposed deletion of Driver hearing

[edit]

The article Driver hearing has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No coverage in WP:RS about this term, just one blog entry. Other instances are the term being used. Fails WP:NEO.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.allfaithscemetery.org/history.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

A tag has been placed on Yarn (website) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia.
