A tag has been placed on CCB Centre for Sporting Excellence, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, CSEYstradMynach. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article CCB Centre for Sporting Excellence, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. Note that Wikipedia's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Avono♂ (talk) 11:13, 7 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

OK THAT IS FINE, SO CAN WE KEEP THE PAGE OPEN TO USE AS A REFERENCE? WE ARE NOT DOING ANYTHING UNTOWARD OR PROMOTIONAL, IN FACT OTHER PAGES I HAVE LOOKED AT THAT ARE ACTIVE ARE DOING MUCH MORE "PROMOTIONAL" WORK THAN WHAT WE ARE BEING PENALISED FOR CSEYstradMynach (talk) 11:20, 7 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

again look what I said in the talk page, you are in a clear conflict of interest, I advise you make a request at the paid editing notice board or else further contributions will be damaging Avono♂ (talk) 11:27, 7 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

AH SO QUITE SIMPLY IF SOMEONE WITH NO DIRECT RELATION SET UP THE PAGE AND EDITED IT (NOT CSEYSTRADMYNACH) THEN THERE WOULDNT BE A "CONFLICT OF INTEREST"?CSEYstradMynach (talk) 11:43, 7 November 2014 (UTC).[reply]

yes, but it will be have to be someone who is not related to you i.e an editor in good standing (new accounts will fall in WP:DUCK), therefore you will have to go to WP:RA or that board I linked you, otherwise you will be blocked from further editing. Avono♂ (talk) 11:48, 7 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. I'm quite sympathetic to your aims but repeatedly creating the same article without addressing the issues will not work. You need to read and understand the guidelines and you need to include multiple independent references to demonstrate notability. Deb (talk) 12:22, 7 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I AM WORKING ON IT WITH SUPPORT FROM SOME GUYS IN LIVE CHAT.....ITS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE DONE THIS.....LIVE IN THE AREA WHERE THE PLACE IS SET UP, HAVE NO AFFINITY TO IT OTHER THAN ITS A TRAVESTY THEY DONT HAVE A REFERENCE CONSIDERING THE INJECTION INTO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. I HAVE ASKED FOR A USERNAME CHANGE SO THERE IS NO CONFLICT THERE PLUS I CAN SEE THERE IS NO COPY AND PASTE ALLOWED WHICH I ADMIT I DID......IM GETTING USED TO IT ALL HAHA, I WILL REQUEST A PAGE THAT IS PERFECTLY LEGITIMATE DONT WORRY MANY THANKS FOR SUPPORT AND PATIENCECSEYstradMynach (talk) 12:27, 7 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You also didn't follow the instructions to change your name correctly. You have to say what you want it changed to. You can make the request on this page. Deb (talk) 12:30, 7 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

apologies.....redone!! we all gotta start somewhere :)CSEYstradMynach (talk) 12:51, 7 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Still on the wrong page. I'll try and move it for you. Deb (talk) 13:04, 7 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Can you just go to that page:Wikipedia:Changing username/Simple and add your name to the request as they will not do it for me. Deb (talk) 13:21, 7 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of CCB CENTRE FOR SPORTING EXCELLENCE

[edit]

Hello Morgans11,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged CCB CENTRE FOR SPORTING EXCELLENCE for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. OccultZone (TalkContributionsLog) 13:46, 7 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I've saved it for the moment but you will have to add the content and references if you want it to survive. Deb (talk) 13:50, 7 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Deb: I had checked around, and there are hardly 9 search results. OccultZone (TalkContributionsLog) 13:56, 7 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I understand, but that's because it's very new. I found three independent references within seconds. The main thing is that the contributor appears to be genuine. Deb (talk) 15:33, 7 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Many Thanks Deb.....only just seen this.....I will work on it this morning. ThanksMorgans11 (talk) 07:32, 8 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I think the article looks better now, thanks for your contributions. OccultZone (TalkContributionsLog) 08:07, 8 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Guys, I have had all my photos removed.......a few of them were my own work, and the ones added from Flickr I have written permission from the author (Caerphilly County Borough Council) to add these also. Please can you advise how to re add? Many ThanksMorgans11 (talk) 09:25, 11 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
