Why delete a page we are editing?

[edit]

I wish to challenge the deletion of a page that you deleted.

  • The page title is Malibu Boats.
  • I have read the reason for deleting the page and I feel it was incorrect because It was a brand new page that we were in the process of creating. Why delete it when 5 different users are working on it?
  • The following sources back up my claim:
    1. SOURCE 1
    2. SOURCE 2

Please consider restoring this article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Calexan13 (talkcontribs) 19:03, 16 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your message. In future, please sign your messages by typing ~~~~ at the end.
Malibu Boats was deleted under criterion 7 (under Articles) of our criteria for speedy deletion because it appeared to be an article about a company which didn't indicate why it was important or significant. Please see WP:CORP for details of what might show notability. If you think that these criteria are met, please explain which one and provide citations from reliable sources to back up your claim, and I will consider undeleting it.
You may alternatively file a deletion review request. Stifle (talk) 19:07, 16 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Stifle's statement pretty much sums up why I deleted your article. Cheers, –Juliancolton Happy Holidays 19:12, 16 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
