May I suggest leaving East Pictou Middle School as a redirect, until such time as you can prove notability with reliable sources? Corvus cornixtalk 22:57, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
Consensus for middle schools is that they be redirected to the school district if you can't provide any information as to what makes them other than just some run of the mill school. Corvus cornixtalk 23:13, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
See Wikipedia:OUTCOMES#Education: Most elementary and middle schools that don't claim notability are now getting deleted in AfD. I could nominate it for deletion ...Corvus cornixtalk 23:15, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- Did you read the above link? Corvus cornixtalk 23:16, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
I linked you to the reliable sources page. Corvus cornixtalk 23:32, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
You're the one who wants to keep the article separate from a redirect, therefore it's incumbent upon you to provide reliable sources, not for me to do so. And you became part of the discussion when you reverted my redirect and kept insisting that I didn't have any right to make it a redirect, despite my repeated proofs that it was best to do it my way. What this has led to now, is an AfD which we could have both avoided. Corvus cornixtalk 23:39, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
The AfD discussion will last five days. If you can improve it in those five days so as to prove notability with reliable sources, I will withdraw the nomination. Corvus cornixtalk 23:48, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
Are you intentionally trying to be argumentative? You complained that you were in the middle of improving the article when I redirected it, so I assumed (silly me) that you had something to put into the article which would prove the school's notability. If anybody can prove its notability in the five day period, I will withdraw the nomination. Now, may I ask you to stay off of my Talk page unless you've got something meaningful to say? Your behavior is bordering on harrassment. Corvus cornixtalk 23:52, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

{{Canada-mall-stub}}
Hi - I see you have recently created one or more new stub types. As it states at Wikipedia:Stub, at the top of most stub categories, and in many other places on Wikipedia, it is recommended that new stub types are proposed prior to creation at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals, in order to check whether the new stub type is already covered by existing stub types, whether it is named according to stub naming guidelines, whether it is otherwise correctly formatted, whether it reaches the standard threshold for creation of a new stub type, and whether it crosses existing stub type hierarchies. Your new stub type is currently listed at WP:WSS/D - please feel free to make any comments there as to any rationale for this stub type. And please, in future, consider proposing new stub types first! Grutness...wha? 02:12, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
- Hi again - you wrote: I noticed the guidelines after I made the cat, then after reading how to do it, I gave up (seeing as it wasn't that important and I didn't really have the time) - well, it may not seem important, but given that the people who'd use it the most are stub-sorters, letting them know about it is pretty important - otherwise how could they use it? It's also important to check that it doesn't cause any problems for them further down the track (it takes about a tenth of the time to propose it compared to the time taken to fix any problems with it). It may be only a strong recommendation to propose things, but it's recommended for good reasons! Grutness...wha? 07:13, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
- Oh - okay, sorry, I musinderstood you :) Grutness...wha? 03:15, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
Maps of USA and Canada
Thank you for noticing my error in marking New Brunswick as Nova Scotia and not marking NS at all on the two images Usa_and_Canada_with_names.svg and Usa_and_Canada_with_names_natural.svg. I have created new images which correct this but for some reason I'm not sure if they uploaded correctly as they still appear as the original image. I checked by using Firefox to view the images and they do show up. (The two indications are that the pointer for P.E. Island is bent and NS is a marker.) I think I have to check because this was a copy and paste of the circle and arrow; I may need to mark labels. Paul Robinson (Rfc1394) (talk) 22:42, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
Your reckless deletion of items from List of Toronto subway and RT stations
I have no problems with you removing the logo's for Interac/Visa/MasterCard/American Express from the above mentioned page. What I do have a problem with is the destruction of more then an hour of work. Instead of blind deletion, you could ... no, should ... have taken the time to replace the logo's with the text. It's call 'respect', and I see at the top of your talk page that you demand it, yet you don't give it. Next time, give people the same respect you request, and instead of just deleting info, that'll leave holes in the info, replace the images with the text. Again, it's simple respect. Fair use rationale for Image:Ccrsb.png
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Ccrsb.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Undeath (talk) 03:03, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
RE:Image
There is no fair use rationale. A FUR(fair use rationale) has it's own section and title. You have a section, but no title, no description, no basic reasoning of why this is permitted under fair use. If anything, just add a section title with Fair Use for (insert article name). Without the article name present, the image can and will be deleted for being an orphan. Undeath (talk) 03:11, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
- I went ahead and added a FUR to the image. Try and keep that in mind for future uploads. Use fair use rationale. Undeath (talk) 03:15, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
- If you read carefully over the FUR requirements, it states that resolution is required. I just gave you the rationale template as a shortcut. Without the resolution tag covered, the image will be deleted. Undeath (talk) 03:19, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

Priestville, Nova Scotia
Eastmain turned up a couple sources for this article. I think it's just barely notable, but towns are inherently notable (note I somehow turned up only 7 hits on Google for "Priestville, Nova Scotia" proper). Aren't towns always eligible for Wikipedia as long as it is not fictional or a hoax? I am flexible so if there is a good reason, I will not insist on keep or delete. I'll amend my AFD comments.Chergles (talk) 16:30, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

Rollback
After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback can be used to revert vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback may be removed at any time.
If you no longer want rollback, then contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some information on how to use rollback, you can view this page. I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, just leave me a message if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Happy editing! Orphaned non-free media (Image:Vox.png)
Thanks for uploading Image:Vox.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. Please participate in that discussion if you have any interest, and if you still have interest in achieving the goals of the original project, we'd love to have you join in. Reviewer granted
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Calmer Waters 14:31, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

Please learn what a copyright violation is
Greetings, I received a warning from you because apparantly this is a copyright violation. However, you are incorrect. Let's see what policy says on the matter.
From Wikipedia:Plagiarism: "INCITE: Cite your sources in the form of an inline citation after the phrase, sentence, or paragraph in question. INTEXT: Add in-text attribution when you copy or closely paraphrase a source's words (see below for attributing public-domain sources). INTEGRITY: Maintain text-source integrity by placing your inline citations in a way that makes clear which source supports which part of the text.
So let's see here. Is there a cited source after the paragraph in question? Yes. Is there in-text attribution? Check (because at the beginning at the text, it clearly says "From FoxFlash"). The third part checks out too.
So as you can see, it is clearly stated that the outline is from Fox's publicity site, it's in quotations, and it's properly attributed. We all make mistakes when we're new here, but please take the time to read up on wikipedia's copyright policy. Thanks, Scorpion0422 15:09, 28 May 2011 (UTC)
- There's a difference though. WP:COPYPASTE is not a guideline. WP:Plagiarism is. I should also point out that Foxflash is a publicity website, so the releases are meant to be copied. Their terms of use say: "By accessing this Site and/or completing the registration process and obtaining a password, User has requested a non-exclusive license to use promotional material consisting of written publicity materials and photographs on the Site solely as promotional publicity for televisions shows on Licensee's Internet Site and/or in Licensee's editorial printed materials. FBC / FCN / FOX SPORTS hereby grants a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to Licensee to download and use a single copy of the Material in this manner for the term of this Agreement and strictly for these promotional purposes, subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein. Licensee agrees that the Material will be used only for informational, non-commercial purposes on the Licensee's Site itself and/or in Publications, and for no other purpose and in no other manner, medium or place whatsoever." -- Scorpion0422 23:39, 28 May 2011 (UTC)
U.K. Shoe sizes. Again.
U.K. shoe sizes appear to be very close to correct for the Lady size, which is 1/2 size small for man. i.e. Man's UK8.5 is the same length as the Lady's UK9. At some time in the early to mid 1970's, when the manufacture of shoes was beginning to be moved offshore, the lady size was adopted by the new manufacturers for general size usage of both man and lady. All men had to suddenly buy 1/2 size larger U.K. shoes(Personal experience). Domestically manufactured shoes still retain the correct difference in size calculation. The ignorance of the difference in size has become so widespread that it is often correct after 50 years of repetition. So the statement that the man and lady UK size is the same is technically incorrect but, often correct in practice.
U.K. and Australian Man's shoe sizes are indeed identical. For reasons unknown to me, the Australian Lady shoe Size appears to be roughly the same as the stated U.S. Lady shoe size. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.208.84.43 (talk) 20:33, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
April - National Contribution Month
During the month of April, Wikimedia Canada is preparing the National Contribution Month, and we are looking for experienced contributors to organize a contribution day (or half-day) in their region.
Contribution days are activities where Wikipedia's contributors, students, or anybody interested in contributing to Wikipedia meets together to collectively improve a predetermined theme. This meetings generally take place in library where references are easy of access, but can be organized in any communal room. Beside improving articles, a goal of this participatory workshops is to initiate neophyte in the cooperative contribution of Wikipedia.
If you are interested in organizing or participating in a contribution day in your region, communicate witht he national team on the project's talk page. The article Highland Square Mall has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- NN 409,512 sq ft mall.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Epeefleche (talk) 20:46, 4 June 2014 (UTC)
