Conflict of Interest

[edit]

Hello! Saw your comment on the Help desk about CyberBludging, and answered there. However, I thought I'd help clarify.

It's generally frowned upon to create articles about yourself or things you've done. That would constitute a potential conflict of interest. It could be considered a vanity page. That said, it looks like you the article does have enough links to verify and show notability, so it might be worth keeping (or moving to Wiktionary).

Either way, I would suggest you no longer edit the page directly. It's best to just suggest changes on the Talk page, and let other editors update the page itself. I'll keep it on my watch list, and consider any suggestions you have there.

Keep up the editing! It looks like you've got the hang of it. Just expand into editing other articles for things you're familiar with, and I'm sure your contributions will be appreciated. -- Kesh 23:03, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Answer from my Talk page

I meant, the Talk page for the article itself. So, Talk:CyberBludging. That way, anyone who is watching the page will see your suggestions on the Talk page, can review them and include them in the page itself if warranted. -- Kesh 04:55, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
