Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! - Your page was largely copied from a site marked Copyright © 2014 EOS Surfaces, and as such, for legal reasons we do not restore the deleted text. Note also that if you have a conflict of interest when editing this article, you must declare it. In particular, if you work directly or indirectly for the organisation, or otherwise are acting on its behalf, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:CopperK8. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form:
{{paid|user=CopperK8|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If you are being compensated, please provide the required disclosure. Note that editing with a COI is discouraged, but permitted as long as it is declared. Concealing a COI can lead to a block. Please do not edit further until you respond to this message.
Furthermore, your text was largely unsourced and was not written as an encyclopaedia article Jimfbleak - talk to me? 11:11, 25 October 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Again, Jim, thanks for your response and feedback. I am interested in creating this article/encyclopedic entry for this topic due to its significance in the realm of reducing pathogen transmission and our work directly with the CDC and EPA to increase awareness of the science behind preventing transmission. I have solely educational goals, especially in this time where so many are attempting to capitalize on the pandemic, but I don't know where to start. Do you know where I may be able to find someone that could draft an article for me to help remove any COI and potential bias? I am not interested in any promotion, only the science, and am willing to recuse myself completely from the process. Again, thank you for your feedback. CopperK8 (talk) 11:40, 26 October 2020 (UTC)
- If, after reading the information about notability linked above, you still believe that your topic is notable enough for a Wikipedia article (and that there is significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources), you could, if you wish, post a request at Wikipedia:Requested articles for the article to be created. It could be a long wait though.
- It's not actually forbidden to write with a conflict of interest, but it must be declared. See also guidance for editors with conflicts of interest. I block editors every day for not declaring COI where they have a financial interest, or where they have declared an interest but don't seem to be writing an encyclopaedia article rather than promo. IF you do declare a COI, and continue editing, take your time, make sure you understand WP:RS and WP:NPOV. Haasium is a recent WP:TFA on a scientific topic that might help you in terms of structure etc. Incidentally, note that images are also subject to our copyright rules, so you can't use an image published previously unless it's explicitly PD, unlikely unless it's US Federal government website Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:01, 26 October 2020 (UTC)
