EVAS
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to the Exploits Valley Air Services article. However, I'd like to mention a few things now before they cause problems:
- The map you uploaded looks as if it is based on a Google map. In which case, you can't claim that you created it entirely yourself, and it is likely to be deleted as a copyright violation.
- From what source have you obtained the fleet data? It doesn't agree with the Transport Canada database.
- From what source did you find out about the "courier service"?
I don't mean to be discouraging---I'm just trying to point you in the right direction. Regards, --RFBailey (talk) 23:09, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
- I have no intention of deleting the article: remember, I was the one who created it. My point was that a map created by drawing some lines on a Google map would be in breach of Wikipedia's quite strict copyright policy, and as a consequence may get deleted.
- I'm not sure what you mean by "Sources are valid on the fleet": you have not specified any sources for that information, nor about the courier service. I suggest you read the guidelines on citing sources.
- Are you an employee of EVAS? If so, it might also be an idea to read the conflict of interest guidelines.
- If there's anything you're unsure about, don't hesitate to ask! Thanks, --RFBailey (talk) 02:38, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
I don't know how to chat with you....yes, embarrassing! Is it possible to add the registrations of the fleet to this page in a table? http://wwwapps2.tc.gc.ca/Saf-Sec-Sur/2/ccarcs/aspscripts/en/current.asp
Mods to page.
[edit]Would it be possible to use that photo and grant google with rights? I would just like to see the wiki page in full glory. I don't want to break any laws or rules! Is it OK to add photos of some of the fleet and/or the facility? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cpt.sam (talk • contribs) 00:31, 23 September 2011
- I'm not sure which "photo" you're referring to, or what you mean by "grant google with rights". If you're referring to the map, I suggest you make a request at Wikipedia:Graphic Lab/Map workshop to have one made which is not subject to copyright restrictions.
- If you want to upload some photographs of the fleet, that would be great, provided that they're photos you took yourself, on your own behalf (not on behalf of an employer), so that you own the copyright on them. (I only have one, poor-quality picture of an EVAS plane, which I decided wasn't good enough!) --RFBailey (talk) 03:32, 23 September 2011 (UTC)
