Hello @ST47:, I would like to discuss my recent editing block. I am not exactly sure what I have done, and I am truly convinced I have done absolutely nothing wrong. The only thing that I believe was even slightly wrong was putting "I kid you not" in the "What you edited" box after editing a page. Perhaps, it might have been me editing many pages in a short time window. Either way, I have noticed another user who lives in the same area as mine has gotten this block too. I am perplexed as to what might have happened, and I am looking for a clear answer. Crunchy Cloaky Crackdown (talk) 21:54, 1 November 2021 (UTC)
- Comment I'm the person who had this kind of block. I'm his friend. He had a message who says: You are currently unable to edit Wikipedia due to a block affecting this IP address. This does not affect your ability to read Wikipedia pages. I had also this problem (the blocking administrator was you too) with the same expiration date. Before receiving this message I had an email who said someone had requested a change of the password of the account. Hope this helps. Dr Salvus 22:03, 1 November 2021 (UTC)
Le tre bandiere moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Le tre bandiere, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. To be honest, the article does sound informal at times, so that's something that could be fixed. Those remarks didn't come from any sources, so I do get that point now.
I took out those ones, and added two citations. I guess it should sound more formal now? However, the citations are poor, since there are barely any sources on that subject. For example, all I can find online about the alternate version is music videos on Youtube, but I don't know if that's allowed. It sounds silly, so I'd assume it isn't. Either way the second citation is what it is, and the article is still a draft Crunchy Cloaky Crackdown (talk) 22:00, 27 February 2022 (UTC)

- @Robertsky Copyrighted content? All the content in that article was written by me, even the lyrics. Is it the lyrics? But there's no way this one gets deleted but many other songs don't. Beyond that I have no idea what is violating the rules. Crunchy Cloaky Crackdown (talk) 07:24, 28 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Robertsky the lyrics were typed out manually, that's what I mean. I could have copied the lyrics I found online but they have some typos and grammatical mistakes (why wouldn't I just fix those then?) ~~ Crunchy Cloaky Crackdown (talk) 07:25, 28 February 2022 (UTC)
- That's the nature of copyright on creative works. Even if you transcribed from the song itself, the lyrics is still the work of the the songwriter. – robertsky (talk) 07:56, 28 February 2022 (UTC)
Le tre bandiere taken down?
[edit]@Primefac: Sorry to bother you, I was wondering what got my article taken down. From what I can tell it's a copyright issue, but what exactly even violates that? I have no clue. Thanks for your attention either way. Crunchy Cloaky Crackdown (talk) 09:15, 28 February 2022 (UTC)
- Copying text directly from another source is a copyright violation, and the reason why your page was deleted. You are welcome to write an article about the song (i.e. the history, significance of the lyrics, etc), but it should not contain the entirety of the text quoted verbatim. Primefac (talk) 15:51, 28 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Primefac: So, are you saying the article would be let in even if it didn't have a lyrics section? But wouldn't it become a stub otherwise? Crunchy Cloaky Crackdown (talk) 18:04, 28 February 2022 (UTC)
- If there's enough detail and good references, sure. Primefac (talk) 19:52, 28 February 2022 (UTC)

- @Primefac: Then, to be fair, trying to revive let alone care about this article seems stupid since there are no sources on the internet other than lyrics sites and music videos. I don't really think I'd be able to add that much content there that aren't my own personal thoughts on the song (say, what x and y means) Crunchy Cloaky Crackdown (talk) 20:44, 28 February 2022 (UTC)
- In that case, it sounds like there isn't really enough to write an article about the matter. Primefac (talk) 14:41, 3 March 2022 (UTC)
