[edit]Hello, I'm BilCat. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, it's important to be mindful of the feelings of your fellow editors, who may be frustrated by certain types of interaction, such as your addition to User talk:Chipmunkdavis. While you probably didn't intend any offense, please do remember that Wikipedia strives to be an inclusive atmosphere. In light of that, it would be greatly appreciated if you could moderate yourself so as not to offend. Thank you. BilCat (talk) 02:45, 10 August 2023 (UTC)
- @BilCat:, hello, I only added warning about edit warring and vandalism, Wikipedia instructs editors to notify other ones when there are such concerns, could you please elaborate what was wrong about that?Cutoc (talk) 02:49, 10 August 2023 (UTC)
- There was an incident when editor reverted two edits without explanation, so I think it is important to leave a notice about edit warring. I will restore only that part which warns editor about edit warring.Cutoc (talk) 02:51, 10 August 2023 (UTC)
Warning
[edit]Please note - removal of information and attempts to hide it as "restructuring" is unacceptable. DerFuchs (talk) 11:46, 25 September 2023 (UTC)
- Hello, I did not remove any information, I just moved it to other parts of the article too not make lead to long. Everything is still written as it was.Cutoc (talk) 22:21, 25 September 2023 (UTC)
- I am giving you a chance to actually return all the information that was removed by you. Also, I would like to inform you about the existence of WP:COI; I find it rather suspicious that a new use appears and start to edit 2 articles - one about georgian politics and second about Irakli Kobakhidze, both attempting to whitewash the ruling party of Georgia. --DerFuchs (talk) 11:35, 26 September 2023 (UTC)
- No text has been removed, it has just been moved to different parts of the article. Lead should not be as long as it was. Read WP:LEAD.
- Lead should only provide an accessible overview of the article, it should not contain information which is not talked about in the main part of the article. Most of the information which was written in the lead belonged to the main text of the article, therefore, it has been moved there.
- P.S. My account was created on 27 January 2023 so I am not a "new user".Cutoc (talk) 20:05, 26 September 2023 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to Eastern Europe or the Balkans, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template. If you have questions, please request help at the Teahouse. // Timothy :: talk 02:51, 21 October 2023 (UTC)
- @TimothyBlue: Hello! I will take notice of that. -- Cutoc (talk) 04:04, 21 October 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks, generally articles from Eastern Europe, the near/middle, East and South Asia is covered by discretionary sanctions, its almost always the best idea not to revert more than once. If in doubt ask at the WP:TEAHOUSE. // Timothy :: talk 04:10, 21 October 2023 (UTC)
