Reliable sources
Hello. When you add new content to an article, it's really important to add a reliable source to verify your contribution. I've taken the liberty of finding a source for your contribution to Two of Us (The Beatles song) and adding it, like so (scroll down). If your need help, feel free to ring me. File copyright problem with File:Chris Martin-viva-cropped.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:Chris Martin-viva-cropped.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. FASTILY (TALK) 05:14, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Deserted Cities. I took a look at the image and see no issues with the licensing or any other problems. Looks Good! Cheers, FASTILY (TALK) 22:32, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Hello, DC. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. (The section is "Not a vandal".) --Milkbreath (talk) 19:08, 7 September 2009 (UTC)
Why did your edit to No Line on the Horizon remove my parameter fixes?
Hi. I wonder why you in your last edit removed my subsequent edit that fixed some template parameters? I suspect it was a mistake. – IbLeo (talk) 21:22, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
- In lack of a reply from you I have just reinstated them myself. Happy editing! – IbLeo (talk) 05:11, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry about that, I missed this question because I only saw the two below. I hadn't meant to undo your edit, so its fine that you re-added. Take care, Deserted Cities 05:25, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

Ode to Deoderant/Brothers + Sisters
Ok so I gave you 3 seperate third party sources. Please tell me what you think--Coldplay Expert 19:57, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
Hi, Deserted Cities. About the comma, so what have you decided? I suppose it's ok to be in the title. I think you've done a good job in researching of what you did on the subject. Looking forward to working with you on other Beatles projects. Best, --Discographer (talk) 20:21, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks. I think the article should be moved to Hello, Goodbye. But we should keep the comma out of the article for now until its moved. It should also be noted in the article somewhere that the comma may or may not appear in the name depending on the source. Deserted Cities (talk) 00:24, 16 September 2009 (UTC)
thanks
Thanks and I have no intention of making 42 an article, it is just for fun. and i joined up with guitarherochristopher to get him out of trouble.--Coldplay Expert 00:47, 19 September 2009 (UTC)
Why
why did you revert my edit on Ode to Deoderant. It does not have to have a like to the article that should soon be merged but I just think that It should be included to let viewers know that it existed. kinda like What If and White Shadows. Thanks!--Coldplay Expert 23:58, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
Oh and BTW congrats on finally making a userpage :)--Coldplay Expert 23:59, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
- Because its a demo tape, not a release. Plus, its been a week since the debate was closed, and I've seen no attempts at a merge. Deserted Cities (talk) 06:07, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
So what do we do with the article? (I still think that we should keep it!) Do you think that it can have a spot on the template like it used to?--Coldplay Expert 00:14, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
- Any relevant info should be moved to the Coldplay and Brothers + Sisters articles. It shouldn't stay on the template since it wasn't official a release. Deserted Cities (talk) 00:38, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
- Why dont you find the relavant info and put it on the article. Im sure the you will have found the right info to add and BTW thanks for all of the help, if I can be of any use in the future on this matter just ask.--Coldplay Expert 00:54, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
Oh sorry but I just remembered, you should take a look at the List of Coldplay songs the unreleased songs section is three times longer than it was a month ago.--Coldplay Expert 00:56, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
- It looks good. We should try and find sources though. Deserted Cities (talk) 01:09, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
- Like what sources? (any ideas) I got alot of them form fan sites and Im pretty sure that there are no "Reliable Sources" that would mention these.--Coldplay Expert 01:21, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
- Since they wouldn't be supporting notability for an article, those may be fine. Using Coldplay.com for a source would work too. Deserted Cities (talk) 01:24, 29 September 2009 (UTC)

- From my understanding of the matter, Roux's proposed solution seems to be the best way to handle the situation. Chris had potential to be good, especially looking at his work on Coldplay tour articles. But lately he'd gone down hill by focusing on creating himself new userpages and not editing articles. In the last few days...you already know about GHC and in other news, Coldplay just anounced a new Latin American Tour in Feb. and March of 2010. I have made an edit in the Coldplay template called Latin America Tour II. (there is no link yet.) I have started a sandbox article on it as well.--Coldplay Expert 01:03, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
To whom it may concern
You're normally a fine editor, so I'm rather surprised that you've decided to edit war at Rubber Soul. The discussion on the article's talk page is clearly against adding subgenres to the infobox, so I am not the only one who doesn't like it. Please don't edit war and please don't add any new genres without getting consensus. Radiopathy •talk• 00:17, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
Hey Jude
See my explanation on the talk page as to why I removed the phrase. The article is about the song, not the nature of the Lennon/McCartney songwriting partnership, and the phrasing is unnecessary detail for the lead section of the article, especially when it is not elaborated in the article body. Keep in mind that it is a Featured Article, and one of the requirements is that it is well written, and that the lead reflects the article body. WesleyDodds (talk) 04:54, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
Please do not revert, I don't think that the images are better and the image of Jay-Z at a 2007 event makes the article looks worse (the picture is of low quality and it's not even cropped properly). If you can truely find some better images then you can add them. Taylor Karras (talk) 07:41, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
- Just because you disagree does not mean you get to revert my edits. There's a thing called talking if we disagree with something. Now tell me why do you think the images are better?, give me your reason on why they're better. Don't just revert edits without dicussing them. Also please leave me a message on my talk page next time, thank you. Taylor Karras (talk) 09:51, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
- Because the pic you prefer is in profile and he's barely recognizable. Deserted Cities (talk) 15:02, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
- Look. He's recognizable in the picture and it's the best we got. Also the other image File:Jay-z.jpg is of very low resolution and quality and it distorts the article's perspective (due to it being longer vertically then it being a normal portrait size.). If you can find a better photo that shows him in profile and is recognizable then you can add it. But please don't re-add the image I mentioned above to the article. Taylor Karras (talk) 01:32, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Re: Edit War
This is not an edit war. None of the changes have to do with the information, just the pictures. Hell it would even be a canidate for the lamest edit wars ever. I have explained my reasons yet you make statements like "who died and made you king", yet I do not own the article. You're fighting over me over pictures. I just saying you should think about what I said and decide whether the images you inserted are really better. Taylor Karras (talk) 05:59, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Coldplay
"No consensus for change"
I didn't change it - I merely reverted back to the referenced description. The band are English - formed in England, at least 3 of them are English and the bassist who was born in Scotland has lived in England since he was about 7. As a comparison - the article for Franz Ferdinand describes the band as being Scottish because they were formed in Glasgow, whilst 3 of the band including the singer/songwriter are English.

To our newest Rollbacker
I have just granted you rollback rights because I believe you to be trustworthy, and because you have a history of reverting vandalism and have given in the past or are trusted in the future to give appropriate warnings. Please have a read over WP:ROLLBACK and remember that rollback is only for use against obvious vandalism. Please use it that way (it can be taken away by any admin at a moment's notice). You may want to consider adding {{Rollback}} and {{User rollback}} to your userpage. Any questions, please drop me a line. Mashup (video)
There is a type of mashup called a YouTube Poop, and I was trying to edit it as such, but it seems that calling it by its actual name is considered vandalism. --Chowdertheshow (talk) 23:20, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

- More to the point, the edit filter wouldn't let him even make the edit to begin with, so I've gone ahead and added it myself. Moves
Please let Coffee remove that discussion from the RfA to the talk page. I tried to do that yesterday and he reverted me. He's completely out of control, and staying away would be good. I appreciate that you are trying to act in a manner appropriate to the process, though. --IP69.226.103.13 (talk) 19:47, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks. I'm going to post on WP:BN about his actions, but I don't want to start an edit war over the issue. Its a shame, really, I think his actions could turn people off to the candidate, who I find to be generally good. And you were right to call him an advocate, he's acted like HJ's lawyer the whole time. ~ DC (Talk|Edits) 19:55, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
- I think, though, that people are right to be turned off of HJ Mitchell for Coffee's advocacy at this point. HJ Mitchell could have distanced himself from Coffee a few bad edits ago and chose not to. And, yes, I called him an advocate on purpose, but subtlety was not due at that point in time. --IP69.226.103.13 (talk) 20:01, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
- Yea I guess you're correct about how he should've tried to rein in Coffee earlier. It shows poor judgment on his part. If he comes back at RFA again he'd be wise to distance himself even more. ~ DC (Talk|Edits) 20:10, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

RfA thanks
Dear DC, here is a little note to say thank you for your kind vote on my request for adminship which failed with a final result of (40/19/12).
Thank you for your participation in my RfA which I withdrew after concerns of my knowledge of policy. Special thanks are owed to Coffee, who defended me throughout and whom I cannot thank enough for the nomination; to 2over0 for being supportive and helpful; to A Stop at Willoughby for the thorough, thoughtful and articulate support rationale; to IP69.226.103.13 for maintaining composure and for a pleasant interaction on my talk page and, last but not least, to Juliancolton who was good enough to close the RfA at my request and, frankly, because an editor whom I respect so much found the time to support me! If the need for more admins at the main page is still apparent in a few months, I may try again. Thank you all for a relatively drama-free RfA and for providing me with much material from which to learn from my mistakes. You're all welcome to drop by my talk page any time. God save the Queen Wiki! HJMitchell You rang? 17:46, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

Welcome
Hi, and welcome to WikiProject Articles for creation! We are a group of editors who work together on the Articles for creation and Images for upload pages.
A few tips that you might find helpful:
- Please take time to fully read the reviewers' instructions before reviewing submissions.
- The project's discussion board is the best place to ask for help or advice. You might like to watchlist this page, and you are encouraged to take part in any discussion that comes up.
- Article submissions that need reviewing can be found in Category:Pending AfC submissions and there is also a useful list which is maintained by a bot.
- You might wish to add {{AFC status}} to your userpage, which will alert you to the number of open submissions. There is also a project userbox. If you haven't done so already, please consider adding your name to the list of participants.
- Several of our members monitor an IRC channel, #wikipedia-en-afc connect, and you are most welcome to join in.
Once again, welcome to the project. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 22:44, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
