Welcome to Wikipedia!

Hello, Dananley, and welcome to Wikipedia!

An edit that you recently made to Berber languages seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want more practice editing, please use the sandbox.

Here are a few links to pages you might find helpful:

You may also want to take the Wikipedia Adventure, an interactive tour that will help you learn the basics of editing Wikipedia. You can visit The Teahouse to ask questions or seek help.

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Again, welcome! Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from one or more pages into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Austronesier (talk) 17:27, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the page Tanzania has an edit summary that appears to be inaccurate or inappropriate. The summaries are helpful to people browsing an article's history, so it is important that you use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did. Feel free to use the sandbox to make test edits. Don't use "fixed typo" as edit summary when you actually change the text, and if you remove or alter content, you should explain why, instead of just saying "fixed sentence". User talk:Austronesier, apologies I will attempt to correct some of that and fix it. I will make better use of the summaries. Thank you for the information!Dananley (talk) 11:56, 17 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Great, thanks! And probably you also might want to have a look at this: MOS:OVERLINK. And if you type {{re|username}} in your talk comments, the other user will be notified. –Austronesier (talk) 13:28, 17 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

User talk:Austronesier and User:SharabSalam, apologies! I just read the link for the overlink. I assumed otherwise. Apologies once again.Dananley (talk) 00:07, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Dananley, no problem. I am so sorry I have reverted your edits in Red Sea, I hope you don't mind.--SharʿabSalam▼ (talk) 00:11, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

User:SharabSalam, thats fine. I understand! Dananley (talk) 10:39, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
