Repeated errors

In several of the articles that you edited, you introduced errors.

Please do not add manual numbers in brackets: ([1] or [1<ref). Properly formatted references are programmatically assigned reference numbers in the displayed article.
Don't add a space between the ending punctuation of a sentence and the reference tag.
For wikilinks with piped text, don't move the surname outside of the brackets so that only the first name is linked.
When an article uses the day-month-year format, don't change it to month-day-year (see WP:DATEVAR).
Also, there is no value in arbitrarily changing the assigned names of references.

It can take some time to get familiar with Wikipedia style, so don't be discouraged. I just wanted to let you know about the errors I noticed so that you can avoid them in future edits. Cheers! Schazjmd (talk) 14:17, 6 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please explain this edit. Why you have removed a reference and replaced it with the text [2]? This has happened repeatedly, and other editors are currently having to follow you around and correct your mistakes. — Manti core 10:38, 9 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

See help:referencing for beginners. Adding the text "[2]" doesn't make a working citation. Suggest using help:notifications to alert people about your reply. Try {{yo|Adakiko}}. Another bad edit

This edit to Venugopal Madathil, you changed a citation to "[1]". That doesn't work. You also changed dates from D/M/Y format to M/D/Y format. e.g. "5 June 1966" to "June 5, 1966".
