Your edits to Inguinal hernia

Dear Dr. Desarda,

Thank you for your interest in the article on inguinal hernia and your efforts to improve it. Please note however that citing your own research is not best practice on Wikipedia per Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and Wikipedia:No original research. Although these guidelines do not prevent you from doing so, I think your edits give undue weight to your own work. I previously replaced your changes by the following summary:

Although several mechanisms such as strength of the posterior wall of the inguinal canal and shutter mechanisms compensating for raised intra-abdominal pressure prevent hernia formation in normal individuals, the exact importance of each factor is still under debate.[1]

In any case, unless your name is eponymously linked to a condition, I don't think we should have your name in the article text (you added: "Recently, Dr.M.P.Desarda has questioned to the reality of those factors...", which was based on your 2003 article).

I would like to ask your to add references other then your own work to allow other editors to check the scientific consensus on your position. We prefer consolidated review articles and meta-analyses over new hypotheses that aren't supported by a large group of specialists, even if they are from a respected journal like BMC Surgery.

I also know from experience that editing Wikipedia can be frustrating for scientific experts, including doctors. I hope you decide to continue your contributions, and if you need any help please don't hesitate to ask me, or anyone else at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Medicine, also known as the doctor's mess.

"New method of tension free open inguinal hernia repair without mesh"

Mesh is a foreign body. Therefore, its use in hernia repairs is known to cause complications like pain, recurrence, infection etc. The author has developed an innovative new technique of inguinal hernia repair without mesh.[1],It uses your own body muscle for repair. The trials conducted by the author and the other surgeons from different countries have shown virtually zero% recurrence rate. [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [7], [8], [9], [10], [11], [12], [13], [14], [15]

This inguinal hernia surgery is without mesh or any foreign body. Even sutures used are absorbable, a thing which was never imagined till today.[16] An undetached strip of the external oblique aponeurosis goes behind the cord to form a new posterior wall between the inguinal ligament and the muscle arch. This newly formed posterior wall is kept physiologically dynamic by the additional muscle strength given by the external oblique muscle. I personally don't think your technique should be included in Wikipedia yet. First, it should be published in a review article in a reputable medical journal (per WP:MEDRS and WP:RECENTISM). I see that more and more articles are being published so I am hopeful that we can one day include it. I read your articles and think any innovative research in surgery is highly laudable. I'm not on any side, especially not on the endoscopist or the mesh side -despite my user picture, my speciality subject is internal medicine!
Did anyone accuse you of 'Joker' or 'suspicious' here? I don't think there is any ground for that since you have published several articles about this in peer-reviewed journals. However, this is primary research, and we define notability and inclusion based on review articles.
In conclusion, once your new approach is included in a review on hernia surgery techniques, it can be added to the article.
