Ways to improve Tyler Technologies

[edit]

Hi, I'm Gatemansgc. DragoMynaa, thanks for creating Tyler Technologies!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. I'm going to work on these for you, but considering the subsidiary company is notable enough for Wikipedia, and Forbes (a pretty major place) has ranked it, I don't see why this article shouldn't be allowed to survive. It should be easy to expand with more sources to show notability.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

ArbCom 2017 election voter message

[edit]

Hello, DragoMynaa. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Article moves

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions regarding the new national monuments! I wanted to let you know about Wikipedia:Moving a page, which has the directions for how to move/rename an article. It's better to use this function rather than copy-and-pasting the content because it keeps the page history together and maintains the connected talk pages as well. Shamna Kasim

[edit]

Again, you must discuss before you blindly move pages. The article is now frozen from free moves because of your absolute disregard. She is widely known as Shamna Kasim in Malayalam (where she has done most of her films + popular roles) - and only known as Poorna in Tamil/Telugu (where she is way less popular). Comparable to actor MM Keeravani/Maragathamani, Srikanth/Sriram and Selvaraghavan/Sri Raghava (Tamil/Telugu). Furthermore see her official IMDB, Google News, Instagram etc. This is not good at all Neutral Fan (talk) 00:15, 14 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The page has been moved.

Didn't mean to be rude. But this is the second time, and you must please exercise caution in the future. Wikipedia and Tamil film articles have been around for 15 years - and if changes were that obvious, people before would have made them. This includes film titles too. Neutral Fan (talk) 00:42, 14 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

November 2019

[edit]

Information icon Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow, or move it unilaterally against naming conventions or consensus, as you did to Shamna Kasim. This includes making page moves while a discussion remains underway. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. The current title is per discussion at the talk page. You would need a new requested move discussion and new consensus to get the page moved again.C.Fred (talk) 00:25, 14 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free content use

[edit]

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload files. However, it appears that one or more of the files you have uploaded or added to a page, specifically Vaayai Moodi Pesavum, may fail our non-free policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted file of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:07, 17 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Shortcut to creating articles

[edit]

You don't have to create a half-baked product in the mainspace straightaway. You create it in the draftspace, eg: Draft:Papa the Great. That way, you can make multiple edits. Once you feel you're done, you may move it to the mainspace. I always copy the syntax from this as a shortcut --Kailash29792 (talk) 11:07, 28 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi, there is an easy way to fill out bare references by using the Refill tool here. Just add the article title , then untick do not add access dates as access dates are required and tick the use base domain name option then click fix page and it will fill out bare references in the article, regards Atlantic306 (talk) 01:00, 21 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi DragoMynaa. Why are you editing the page ? The format is requested by Vijay Antony himself. If you want let’s talk over. Please do not change the format. We are maintaining it this way.again I am requesting Please do not change the format. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kumarcd (talkcontribs) 10:10, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Kumarcd: I have to agree with DragoMynaa's edits on two grounds. First, there is a standard format for filmographies. The double title column that you've applied to this article is not in compliance with that standard. Second, we do not edit articles to comply with the wishes of the subject. On policy grounds, the community prefers the edits of independent editors like DragoMynaa instead of editors like you with a conflict of interest. —C.Fred (talk) 17:44, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Cast ordering

[edit]

Re: these changes, you're not supposed to be organising cast based on your personal preference, arbitrary rules, or your interpretation of importance. Cast should be organised per a film's poster billing block, and if that is not useful as it might not be in Indian films, we should use the credited stars and cast billing order per the onscreen credits. Thank you, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 05:19, 13 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there, re: this, you might want to keep an eye out for how ReFill2 formats the Bollywood Hungama external link. Typically we would not want it to add a title, especially when the title is something weird like "Darbar Movie: Reviews | Release Date | Songs | Music | Images | Official Trailers | Videos | Photos | News - Bollywood Hungama". I've fixed it. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 06:44, 13 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Deletions on Wikipedia

[edit]

Hi - can you please stop and explain why you are actively trying to delete content which you can easily find sources for online? Decades of hard work will be taken away. Here you ask explicitly to create articles for small films and small-time actors but now you're on a deletion spree? Recently, you've weirdly listed things like Aridhu Aridhu (2010), Ravi Raghavendra, Rathina Siva and Sudha for deletion?!

Any thoughts on this trend - Kailash29792, Srivin, Terminator92? Neutral Fan (talk) 19:36, 8 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Nope Neutral Fan. Just hope he cites better reasons for deletion like "Can't find (m)any sources". It's surprising to see you back in action. --Kailash29792 (talk) 19:41, 8 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Still of Mysterious Girl.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Still of Mysterious Girl.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 9 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
