Hi. Regarding your edit to Loose (album): you wrote "She spoke in April 2005 of being inspired by artist M.I.A. and her first album, saying, "I've listened to bits of her album and it is so cool...what a flow...what a style...and girl can dance!!!"". I have removed this because in the webpage you cited, http://www.nellyfurtado.com/news/default.aspx/&in/93, Furtado does not mention anything about being inspired by M.I.A. Extraordinary Machine (talk) 20:37, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reply. I did read the message, and yes, Furtado speaks highly of M.I.A. in it. However, I can find nothing in the message that links Furtado's opinion about M.I.A. with the recording of Loose—the mention of M.I.A. and her album occurs in the middle of Furtado's descriptions of live shows she has been to and CDs she is listening to/anticipating. Could you explain what part of the message has Furtado citing M.I.A. as an inspiration on Loose? Thanks. Extraordinary Machine (talk) 21:16, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
- I'm afraid that what you're saying is a form of original research because you are forming your own conclusion from the reliably cited facts known about the album—that Furtado mentioned she had listened to M.I.A. early in the recording of Loose, and that there have been comparisons between Furtado's style on Loose and M.I.A. The problem doesn't so much involve wording as it does the mere mention of M.I.A. in that section—by stating in the article that Furtado listened to some of M.I.A.'s album after stating that she listened to Bloc Party, System of a Down et al and was influenced by those artists (who, unlike M.I.A., she has explicitly cited as an influence on the album), the implication is there that Furtado was inspired by M.I.A., when there is nothing in the sources cited that state that she said this. I'm not denying the possibility that M.I.A. was an inspiration for Furtado and Loose, but unless we have something from Furtado or someone involved in the album's production explicitly saying this, we shouldn't mention M.I.A. in that section. Re:User:Jamalar
[edit]This user has also been uploading images from flickr without permission, then has claiming to have authored them [1]. I would suggest they get tutorial on proper etiquette, but they has gone as far as calling me a moron on my talk page [2] (which, of course I removed), so I would suggest that they be nominated for admin involvement. It does though seem the edits are borderline benign compared to what I have seen here on WP... Nevertheless, if they're is choosing to continue to "contribute", if might be helpful for them to learn how to appropriately. see warnings and reasons for more info. In the end, you will want to go here to get admins involved. Thanks! --travisthurston+ 17:08, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

Regarding the artist M.I.A you have been removing material from reliable sources citing the artists controversial nature in supporting the LTTE millitants in Sri Lanka. The sources are reliable like the BBC. The issue has had a lot of media coverage. Your edits [3] show that most of the edits you have made are related to M.I.A and related topics (albums etc). As such your neutrality and good intentions can be questioned. Please kindly stop from removing cited information from the wikipedia. If you persist then I will seek administrator mediation.Kerr avon (talk) 04:01, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
- Don't take this threat seriously. Kerr Avon is a Sinhalese and if he claims that you cannot edit this article because your biased, then neither can he because he is also biased. Watchdogb (talk) 14:42, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
