Disclosure

[edit]

Hi I suggest you read the policy at WP:DISCLOSURE and follow the instructions at WP:PAID. scope_creep (talk) 11:36, 31 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks for suggesting. Sorry, I am not paid but I see I did wrong by defending a promotional article. I had seen the label of 'promotional content and it was asking the user to improve content' that is why I worked on this. Now I read out policy here and yes I was wrong. I have changed my vote on the discussion page.--EShami (talk) 17:49, 31 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
EShami, I really don't want you to change your vote, if that is ok. Wikipedia is open and collaborative, and anyone can come in a vote. You have as much right to vote your way, as anybody else. WP at the moment, has a very large problem with paid articles. The Ivan Olita article fits that pattern, and I think it is a Paid For article, since most of the work has been completed by SPA editors, and its very promotional in nature, or it was, until you copyedited it. I think it is worth noting that those who are being paid, and who dont undertake disclosure, are blocked indefinently once they are found out. In this connected world we live in, it is getting easier and easier to find out who is a paid editor. Thanks for getting back to me. scope_creep (talk) 18:06, 31 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Kris Bowers

[edit]

Thanks for adding more information and sources to Kris Bowers. I'd like to mention a couple of things. You also removed some sourcing and added things that are unsourced; it's best to have everything sourced, so I reinserted some and added 'citation needed' tags. Second, on the same article, you appear to have reinstated a series of edits by User:Editcorrection and then added some sources. Again, thanks for the sources. If you are the same person who had the Editcorrection account, you need to declare that, because not doing so is more than frowned upon and can lead to an indefinite ban (please see Wikipedia:Sock puppetry). If you're not, then reading it anyway will help you know to alert others to the danger if you ever come across the possibility! EddieHugh (talk) 12:57, 2 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Reply EddieHugh,I have sort out some of the 'citation needed' and added relaible sources to confirm the informations which I have added. Sorry this is one and only account from me. I do not know the account you are discussiong. Also I am thankful for your help. I appreciate your feedback on this. You can mention where I need to add more resources if it is not cited. --EShami (talk) 13:06, 2 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article Everest Cast has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable product whose greatest claim to fame is a non-notable award from non-notable org "ictawardnepal.com".

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ☆ Bri (talk) 08:54, 28 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    • Bri Please look in the detail of the Award, This award was distributed by Information and Communication Minister of Nepal Honorable Mohan Bahadur Basnet. Overlinking

[edit]

Hello EShami, thank you for your contributions to the project so far. Please take the time to read the Manual of Style section on overlinking as we do not link to every possible article, only those that give further detail on the article subject. Specifically, we should not link country names or to common terms. This is to reduce the sea of blue that can distract a reader whether he selects the link or not. It also reduces the number of links to load for mobile phones. Also, an orphan tag indicates that there are no other Wikipedia articles linking to the subject article, not that the subject article lacks outgoing links to other articles. Hope this helps, don't be discouraged and keep editing on your favourite subjects, Loopy30 (talk) 14:13, 8 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This is about a big company (HR Software) you can check in Google and Google news. The Software page cited references from PCMag, Deseret News, Inc. I believe you are tagging article in a mistake and ignoring the notable news and magazines which are reffering to the Topic. Control copyright icon Hello EShami, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) have been removed, as they appear to have added copyrighted material without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are PD or compatibly licensed) it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, the help desk or the Teahouse before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 12:39, 24 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Famousbirthdays.com as a source

[edit]

Hi EShami . I noticed that you recently used famousbirthdays.com as a source for information in a biography article. Please note that there is general consensus that famousbirthdays.com does not meet the reliable sourcing criteria for the inclusion of personal information in such articles. (See Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Noticeboard/Archive_153#Is_famousbirthdays.com_a_reliable_source_for_personal_information). If you disagree, let's discuss it. A tag has been placed on Jessica Wang, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. A tag has been placed on Lahore Technology Award requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organized event (tour, function, meeting, party, etc.), but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Standard offer

[edit]

I've received your e-mail regarding your articles. It is our standard practice to delete all the articles which were created by WP:SOCKPUPPET. Because you were banned before this account and you continued to do sock puppetry so Its impossible for you to come back to WP. You were also involved in WP:PAID editing which is serious violation. Now after all this, you can still come back in a rare case which is that you should wait for six months and then apply for the standard offer per WP:OFFER. This is the only possibility otherwise you are done from here. Thanks. Störm (talk) 15:26, 16 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
