February 2012
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Please be aware of Wikipedia's policy that biographical information about living persons must not include unsupported or inaccurate statements. Whenever you add possibly controversial statements about a living person to an article or any other Wikipedia page, as you did to Maurice Deville, you must include proper sources. If you don't know how to cite a source, you may want to read Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners for guidelines. Thank you. GiantSnowman 15:21, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
- Edits such as this, where you don't add anything to an article other than a space, are not reccomended. Of the two sources given, problems exist with both - this confirms national youth team appearances in qualifying matches only, not friendlies, so is not complete, while this is a dead link i.e. doesn't exist. Regards, GiantSnowman 15:40, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
- Transfermarkt is not a reliable source - it can be edited by anyone. GiantSnowman 16:16, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
Transfermarkt
[edit]Hi there, good job on removing incorrect information on the Maurice Deville article - Transfermarkt is not a reliable source. Regards, GiantSnowman 21:04, 5 March 2012 (UTC)
Stats in football players's infoboxes
[edit]Hi, please remember to update also the pcupdate parameter when you are updating the stats in football players's infoboxes (like you did here). Thanks. --Jaellee (talk) 18:44, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
Again, please update the pcupdate parameter.[1] You are just putting errors in infoboxes. --Jaellee (talk) 21:49, 11 March 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for March 28
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Azer Aliyev, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Georgia. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:02, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
Hovhannes Nazaryan moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Hovhannes Nazaryan, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) WP:NFOOTY is no longer a valid SNG, so GNG must be met. It needs several refs from independent, reliable, secondary sources to pass WP:GNG. It should have at least 3 of those. Please remember that routine sports coverage does not satisfy GNG, and that interviews, being primary sources, do not go to notability either. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. - At the moment both clubs do not have websites. Noah has always done this - they are active on facebook and instagram, I don't remember them having a website. Shirak's site is not available now, but they are active on Facebook, this replaces their website, plus the audience in Armenia has Facebook as the most popular social network. In both cases, these are the official public pages of the clubs. I have never referred to the website of the Armenian Football Federation. Sports media (interfootball.am., sport.news.am) wrote their news referring to them as a source, which I pointed out, perhaps this is not correct. I'm deeply sorry, could you be more specific about which links need to be replaced? This is my first article writing experience. Several others (also players of the Armenian national team) were approved, I did not notice the difference between them. EddyBenoit (talk) 18:34, 7 April 2023 (UTC)
- Oh, okay, thank you for clarifying it.
- If the sites you cited host official match reports, too, try to use their links in order to replace Soccerway, most specifically, at the start of the "Club career" section and in the "Honours" section. That portal is good and generally reliable, but it doesn't make much sense to use it there, to be honest...
- Also, if you're looking for some advice about citations, maybe this guide could be useful.
- I hope this helps! Oltrepier (talk) 19:02, 7 April 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Hi there - Wikipedia relies on reliable sources to verify information, especially about living people. You didn't provide a source for your changes to the Eduards Emsis article, and I couldn't find one either. If you have a reliable source please let me know and we can change the article. Please let me know if you have any questions. GiantSnowman 18:04, 28 August 2024 (UTC)
- He was part of the team that won these two trophies, which is evident when you open the protocols of these matches. There is even a separate article in Russian about his participation in the final of the Armenian Cup, and about his participation in the Super Cup there is a note on the website of the Football Federation of Armenia.
