Hello. I prefer to keep Wikipedia business on Wikipedia, and not in email.

In your email to me, you wrote that you want to create a page about Edgewater Automation, and that you should have used your own personal username.

You don't have to use a personal name, although this is fine for a company representative. The point is that organizations are not permitted to have user accounts. Due to the licensing terms for content on Wikipedia, only individuals may have accounts.

As an individual, you may still include your employer in your username to indicate that you are an individual representing a company. A name like "Jane at Edgewater Automation" would be acceptable, as the username is that of an individual, not an organization.

If you intend to write an article about your employer, note that you must comply with the conflict-of-interest guidelines: WP:COI. Basically, you can write the article in draft space and submit it for review. Don't try to create it yourself in article space; it would likely get deleted quickly. For instructions on how to create an article, see Wikipedia:Articles for creation.

Once your article is accepted for publication in article space, you must refrain from making any further substantive changes to it. You can correct errors in spelling, grammar, numbers, and names. You can add additional citations to reliable secondary sources that are independent of your company. And you can revert obvious vandalism.
