Thor

[edit]

Let me know if you intend to pursue Thor further. Signing your name on undelete pages is a good idea; accusing the admins of vandalism is a very bad one William M. Connolley 18:48, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Gogi

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Gogi, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. CiTrusD (talk) 01:49, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Eli is a slow bunny but he is catching on. Wondered where you had gone...Eli Rabett (talk) 02:25, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Arbitration page

[edit]

Re[1], the protocol for this page is that there should not be interleaved discussions. Each person puts their bit in their own "Statement by..." section. You'll notice that even when responding to someone else, people put their response in their own section. BTW good to see you here. Sorry. Should I/you kill it???Eli Rabett (talk) 02:58, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe you could add your own "Statement by..." section and put it there. Short Brigade Harvester Boris (talk) 03:03, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
OK, just undid it. For the record here is the text, was not very important

LitGeek The point is that many of the same people who were involved with taking the industry side about side stream tobacco smoke (the term of art for environmental tobacco smoke ETS) are also involved in denying that climate change is an important issue, and that organizations (TASSC and others) were formed to push both agendas and funded by Tobacco.

BTW, there was controversy up to ~1990 ETS, but by 1992-3 there was a strong scientific consensus (there is that phrase again) which the industry fought off for another decade. Bad Wabbit. More seriously, you're best off staying clear of that if you can. Wait for next year's William M. Connolley (talk) 13:05, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

BLP

[edit]

You seem to have been around for a while, but not all that much - please forgive me if this is old hat for you. You seem to be discussing at the relevant talkpages, so please do not take this as anything but a quick FYI on acronyms. Just in case you were wondering why people are putting "BLP" in their edit summaries, it is a reference to the Biographies of living persons policy. This policy stipulates that we need to have a somewhat higher standard of sourcing when dealing with real people - anything unsourced or inadequately sourced should be promptly removed if no source can be found. As well as to the biographical articles themselves, this policy applies to any material describing living persons in other articles. - 2/0 (cont.) 18:33, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks:). I am aware of this and provided good sources (actually one of them was from the person whose biography was being edited. OTOH, there are many things that I do not know about Wikipedia. Mostly I have been dropping in and out. Eli Rabett (talk) 04:32, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Climate change probation notification

[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to the encyclopedia! In case you are not already aware, an article to which you have recently contributed, Fred Singer, is on article probation. A detailed description of the terms of article probation may be found at Wikipedia:General sanctions/Climate change probation. Also note that the terms of some article probations extend to related articles and their associated talk pages.

The above is a templated message. Please accept it as a routine friendly notice, not as a claim that there is any problem with your edits. Thank you. -- Viriditas (talk) 04:36, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
