Oh yeah just saying nothing in my talk page is deleted (unless full, automated msg (TW+), or vandalism occurs) :p --NikkeKatski [Elite] (talk) 18:49, 11 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Wow! it would actually turn out that I've been inactive for over a year :x. It's really cool to look back at myself dipping my toes into being a wikipedian. NikkeKatski [Elite] (talk) 18:03, 23 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I talk to myself in my talk page apparently. is there a barnstar for being a Noob below average wikipedian? NikkeKatski [Elite] (talk) 15:02, 27 April 2019 (UTC) [reply]

maybe idk --NikkeKatski [Elite] (talk) 13:42, 30 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Oof.

[edit]

i hope that being too casual and being a wikijaguar doesn't make me break WP:NotHere that much --NikkeKatski [Elite] (talk) 18:51, 11 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

"Editing only in user space

The user is only interested in editing their own user space..."

^ that is a quote directly from WP:NotHere and uhh it does seem to be a bad thing to gravitate mostly around user namespaces... but im safe right..? Its not like its the only thing I do... monkaS. Ima have to add more normal articles to my watchlist so my contributions don't look bad maybe.. Looking at my contribs 40ish out of 95 edits are all on User Talks.. thats probably okay.? Im thinking that i might not be a GOOD Wikipedian from those stats but not one that has severely broken rules that would warrant harsh action against me. --NikkeKatski [Elite] (talk) 18:56, 11 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yeet

[edit]

I uploaded my first file today but it probably isn't very useful for anyone except me so... I still did it atleast. And i probably did it wrong too so i have to expect it to get taken down or to be hit with a warning from someone eventually but that doesn't stop me from feeling accomplished! BTW if someone does correct ANY of my mistakes please tell me what i did wrong and how i can avoid it in the future. --NikkeKatski [Elite] (talk) 15:07, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I signed up for the automated feedback service with a limit of 32 (Which may be excessive but i'll find out soon enough) that i just discovered so I can be more lazy in finding ways to contribute --NikkeKatski [Elite] (talk) 15:21, 14 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Talk page formatting

[edit]

A quick note about your edits here—please remember to sign you posts using four tildes (~~~~) and indent your posts using the appropriate number of colons (:). In general, your post should be indented one more level than the one you're replying to. See WP:THREAD for more details. If you do need to post references on talk pages, use {{reflist-talk}} to ensure they are formatted properly. I've done this for you in this edit. – Lord Bolingbroke (talk) 15:03, 17 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Lord Bolingbroke: Thank you! This'll help a lot. Also yeah i do sometimes forget to sign rip. --NikkeKatski [Elite] (talk) 15:07, 17 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sandbox

[edit]

Hi Elitematterman,

You currently have the Video game rater template on your sandbox, but it looks like it's more like a test edit at User:Elitematterman/sandbox. Is this neccesary? Having the item on the page reports to the video game project that the sandbox is part of the project, which isn't quite right. Did you place it there for a specific reason, or is it a simple test edit? Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 15:40, 31 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Oh im so sorry Lee I had no idea it would include my sandbox. I will remove it and i'll make sure i won't put any more rater templates in there. --NikkeKatski [Elite] (talk) 15:54, 31 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Re-RFC on IQOS content

[edit]
This RfC is about moving the content to another section. A split would not work because all the health effects about IQOS and related content is in the heat-not-burn article. QuackGuru (talk) 18:25, 18 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for informing me, I knew something smelled fishy. --NikkeKatski [Elite] (talk) 18:29, 18 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
You may want to update or remove your comment in the Discussion on Re-RfC on IQOS content. QuackGuru (talk) 18:35, 18 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I still think its possible but now a restoration of content seems more favorable. --NikkeKatski [Elite] (talk) 18:50, 18 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I could expand the section and make it really long but then it could be split. I just want the essential content in that section. QuackGuru (talk) 20:52, 18 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

For the e-cig talk page I have updated my comment. Both the 'Nicotine' section and the 'Passive' vaping section are a clear violation of WP:SUMMARY and WP:SYNC. The 'Nicotine' section is mostly random content that did not summarise the subarticles. The 'Passive' vaping section is a bunch of quotes and do not summarise any subsrticle. I edit all the main nicotine-related articles and have read all the sources. I am familiar with the subarticles because I wrote most of the content. QuackGuru (talk) 12:42, 24 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

An image could work rather than add content for second-hand aerosol. QuackGuru (talk) 13:18, 24 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@QuackGuru: I actually like the image. However I think I'm missing some context here? --NikkeKatski [Elite] (talk) 13:24, 24 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Instead of rewriting the passive vaping section this image could be added instead. QuackGuru (talk) 13:26, 24 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I can agree to that. --NikkeKatski [Elite] (talk) 13:28, 24 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
For now I added the image. That covers passive vaping and the section on passive vaping can be deleted. QuackGuru (talk) 13:33, 24 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Alright --NikkeKatski [Elite] (talk) 13:35, 24 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I was thinking of what could be a better summary and then I remembered the image. QuackGuru (talk) 13:40, 24 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

we're all here to grow

[edit]

About WP:ASSUMEGOODFAITH, we're all here to grow, and it's good to recognize personal growth. I recently interacted with someone who came into a meeting, long ago, and before walking to the front announced something like "please, please, it's only eight (that was the number) months til Yom Kippur" regarding a discussion that could be heard rows and rows behind. Please comment on Talk:Electronic cigarette

[edit]

The feedback request service is asking for participation in this request for comment on Talk:Electronic cigarette. Legobot (talk) 04:25, 26 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You mentioned on the talk page "Rewrite Passive Vaping". The current section is just a list of quotes. Passive Vaping does not have a stand alone article. You can see the rewrite here. It is better being in the subarticle. The 4 solid paragraphs in the main article does include content about passive vaping risks. I think the image works much better than rewriting a few sentences. Please change delegate count to 92

[edit]

There's been an edit war this morning over Greece's withdrawal. As of now, Greece is not listed on the page, so the count should be 92 throughout the article. Thanks! Rahu22 (talk) 16:09, 22 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'll see to it that unsourced additions aren't in the article. --NikkeKatski [Elite] (talk) 16:59, 22 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Kenneth Saclote is now claiming that Kyrgyzstan & Zambia have "officially" announced they won't be competing this year. But, as usual, he has no reliable sources and he won't respond to questions. This is what's so frustrating about the Talk pages. Did you see my last comment about Miss Egypt and how disorganized MUO is this year? Rahu22 (talk) 22:05, 22 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I did. And you shouldn't worry too much about someone who isn't willing to defend information they contribute, unless they immediately go straight to editwarring without ever communicating lol. --NikkeKatski [Elite] (talk) 14:55, 23 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You've been unsubscribed from the Feedback Request Service

[edit]

Hi Elitematterman! You're receiving this notification because you were previously subscribed to the Feedback Request Service, but you haven't made any edits to the English Wikipedia in over six months.

In order to declutter the Feedback Request Service list, and to produce a greater chance of active users being randomly selected to receive invitations to contribute, you've been unsubscribed, along with all other users who have made no edits in six months.

You do not need to do anything about this - if you are happy to not receive Feedback Request Service messages, thank you very much for your contributions in the past, and this will be the last you hear from the service. If, however, you would like to resubscribe yourself, you can follow the below instructions to do so:

  1. Go to the Feedback Request Service page.
  2. Decide which categories are of interest to you, under the RfC and/or GA headings.
  3. Paste {{Frs user|Elitematterman|limit}} underneath the relevant heading(s), where limit is the maximum number of requests you wish to receive for that category per month.
  4. Publish the page.

If you've just come back after a wikibreak and are seeing this message, welcome back! You can follow the above instructions to re-activate your subscription. Likewise, if this is an alternate account, please consider subscribing your main account in much the same way.

Note that if you had a rename and left your old name subscribed to the FRS, you may be receiving this message on your new username's talk page still. If so, make sure your new account name is subscribed to the FRS, using the same procedure mentioned above.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on the Feedback Request Service talk page, or on the Feedback Request Service bot's operator's talk page. Thank you!
