MY IDEA OF AJEGUNLE

Ajegunle, a neighborhood in the Ajeromi-Ifelodun local government area of Lagos State, Nigeria, does not have a precisely documented founding year like many formal cities. However, its development is closely linked to the post-World War II era and Nigeria's rapid urbanization in the 1940s and 1950s.

Ajegunle began to expand significantly during this period as people from different ethnic backgrounds migrated to Lagos for economic opportunities, contributing to the diverse community it is known for today.

Ajegunle is seemingly known as one of the most notorious if not the most notorious place in Ajegunle. It is known to be filled with thugs, robbers, thiefs and the like. But I think that Ajegunle is not just a home to about 40% of people living in Ajeromi-Ifelodun it is also a place that I see filled with opportunities because as it is widely said where there is a problem there is an opportunity.

It's population is estimated around 1.5 million residents and among this 1.5 million people many of them are youth.Youths that are able to strive and hustle for a living.Yes I know some may go about it the wrong way and most at times it's because they were not given an opportunity or that were not able to see a problem and see opportunity. Ajegunle is a fascinating place in Ajeromi-Ifelodun. You just have to see it from a different perspective and not from the perspective of seeing everyone there as robbers and thiefs. I say this because I have been critized because I based I'm Ajegunle. Not everyone staying in Ajegunle doesn't have a future. Take the likes of Ruth kadri,Daddy Showkey,Oritsefemi, Emeka Okonkwo (popularly known as E-money) Suprised already. All this people shaped Their experience and had a drive for success.Thats to say persay that staying Ajegunle does not make one any different from a person staying Lekki the only difference in their drive for sucess
