Hello, Fixfxx, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits did not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may have been removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations verified in reliable, reputable print or online sources or in other reliable media. Always provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to The Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Again, welcome!  Knitsey (talk) 11:28, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, YouTube is not a suitable source for these claims. Please read WP:RS to see how to reference correctly. If you need help then please feel free to ping me or you could ask for advice at the Tea House. Happy editing! Knitsey (talk) 11:30, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Knitsey,
Thank you for your message. I am not a fan of either of them, but fans of Whigfield have been censoring the page for years and it makes Wikipedia less reliable because of that. I provided the links to the reliable sources on YouTube because there you can hear the producer's words and you can hear both Whigfield and Ann Lee singing. The performances of Ann Lee compared to the performance of Whigfield in 2024, where Whigfield's voice sounds completely different from her own 1994 hit, while Ann Lee's sounds like the original recording, should at least be mentioned. The producer of Ann Lee stated that "Ann Lee lent Whigfield her voice and it was a worldwide success." Most importantly, if you watch Whigfield's 2024 performance, you will hear a completely diffferent voice that doesn't sound like the original recording at all.
Can you please help me to include this relevant information in the page and how to include references properly? I have read other Wikipedia pages that include this kind of information for other artists that did not sing their songs, so why Whigfield is excluded and not even mentioned, not even as a "controversy", like in those pages? We should include this information because it's essential. Fixfxx (talk) 12:15, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Reverting improperly referenced edits does not mean they are fans. Quite frankly, I really dislike their music, to the point of switching off the radio. But I reverted. You've been reverted because you've not given a correct reference. As I asked previously, please read WP:RS and the linked policy documents on referencing.
Please be very careful about your accusations of other editors being fans, always try to WP:AGF and remain civil. Thank you, Knitsey (talk) 12:22, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks again for your message. I understand that I used references inappropriately. I will follow the guidelines. Thank you. Fixfxx (talk) 12:33, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
