How you can help

Hi Fixxer85, I am David_FLXD and I am busy with the review of your article on the ADELI suit. You have clearly based your article on this pdf document, and your rewrite uses so many of the original phrases that it might be considered in copyright violation. The source site states that contributed documents (which this appears to be) are covered by the Creative Commons Attribution No-Derivative-Works 3.0 License. Among other things, this License specifies that you cannot present an altered version of the document: essentially, this is just what you have done with your article. However, I assume that this was not intentional on your part, and therefore I want to try to help you with this rather than just delete your article as a copyright violation.

You have found a good subject for an article: there is plenty of notability and some good sources (also some that are not so good!). However, your article needs a substantial rewrite to get away from copyright infringement, and also to improve referencing, grammar, etc. (Are you a native English speaker, I wonder?) If you are willing for me to make some big changes to what you have written, I will try to help you get your article up to standard, and get accepted.

Nevertheless, it is your article and your choice whether or not you want the help. You may prefer to try to improve it by yourself, but in that case I will first have to move it back to your user area as a subpage or into the sandbox, because in its present state it cannot stay in the public area, which area includes articles submitted for creation.

Please let me know, either here or on my talk page, what you prefer. Regards, David_FLXD (Talk) 17:58, 21 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi David_FLXD. I am coming back to you with regards to the ADELI Suit Article. First and foremost, I do admit most of the article was inspired by the document you mentioned. I am not a native English speaker, although I did went to an US college. This was my first time writing a Wikipedia Article, so I am totally unfamiliar with the entire process, particularly with references, citations, grammar, etc. As you see, I am not acquainted with the TalkBox, either. Any help that you can provide to help the article to get published would be extremely appreciated. If there is anything I can do on my own behalf, please let me know, I am more than willing to help in any way I can. Fixxer85 (talk) 13:56, 25 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Adeli Medical Centre

[edit]

Hi, thanks for message. This is not Russian Wikipedia, and whatever criteria apply there may not apply here. The following may be relevant.

  • It was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include: is one of the leading... experts... state-of-the-art... unique... the uniqueness of treatment — and so on... This is an encyclopaedia, not a free advertising platform.
  • it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Your own source was the centre itself, to a page headed "success stories", which hardly guarantees impartiality. Furthermore, that page supported little, if any of your text, which it was supposed to be the source for.

The whole point of the speedy deletion process is that obvious breaches of our policies can be removed without pointless discussion. See also this. You are, of course, entitled to write a neutral, properly referenced version. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 17:55, 3 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jim! Okay - I have made some substantial changes, and have submitted the article without a promotional tone. It tries to provide just basic facts and has independent verifiable sources included. Please let me know if there is anything else I need to do/changeFixxer85 (talk) 09:28, 5 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Wikignome,

I have made substantial changes to the article about the ADELI Medical Center. The article itself has been considerably shortened by excluding information which could be considered unreliable. I have added a link to the Business Registry at the Department of Justice of Slovak Republic as means of verifying the basic information about the company. I have further left there two links from the SCOPE charity which collects all the information on treatments and therapies for kids with cerebral palsy and other neurological deficits.

Please let me know if I need to provide more reliable resources, given the article has ben substantially edited out.Fixxer85 (talk) 13:40, 7 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Fixxer85. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "ADELI Medical Center".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/ADELI Medical Center}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Rankersbo (talk) 21:12, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
