Footnotes
[edit]- ^ In cushion caroms, the object of play is to score points by caroming one's cue ball off of both object balls with at least one rail being struck before the cue ball's hit on the second object ball.[5] Cushion caroms was only played professionally for a short time during the era, and Daly was its last champion for many years. The next professional championship at the game was not held until 1933, won by Daly's former pupil, Willie Hoppe, who held the title for 11 years thereafter.[3]
