Edwin Muñiz
[edit]Oops! I guess we crossed pathes in editing. What a mess. Tony the Marine (talk) 04:00, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
- I have removed your addition to the article in which you name two persons who were accussed of comitting felonies becuase it is not revelant to the subject and article "per se" and insinuates wrong doing on behave of the subject. Edwin Muñiz, Sr. is very respected and to attempt to associate him with felons is wrong. You must assume good faith that there may be some misinformation which can be fixed. Said additions would be proper in an article about St. Luke's School of Medicine. Take care. Tony the Marine (talk) 05:08, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
- I must ask you to discuss the matter on the article's talk page, this could be potentially libelous and as such a violation of our policies. Also, please read WP:BLP and WP:COI. - Caribbean~H.Q. 06:46, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Edwin Muñiz
[edit]You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
Thank you.
A tag has been placed on Edwin Muñiz requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. TallMagic (talk) 05:54, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

Reversionists
[edit]Hi George. We have never communicated before. I had put into a further reading section into many relevant Wikipedia articles your presentation from UIUC on odd degrees and diploma mills. User:ElKevbo and others reverted them all out as "link spam". Rubbish. I think your presentation and the NYT article belong in many WP articles and are not to be considered "link spam". To wit:

Might you have a look at this User_talk:ElKevbo#Huh.3F with User:ElKevbo ? He reverted out without discussion many "further readings" I put in to a number of articles about for-profit degrees etc. He called them "link spam". But they were citations. One would have hoped for better. Thanks. --- Wikiklrsc (talk) 16:39, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
ANI notice
[edit]There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Jim1138 (talk) 08:14, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
Thank you for attending to this. I am fairly sure I know the identity of the vandal; he is currently posting defamatory material about members of my family on a discussion board he runs. This has been going on since 2004, and appears to stem from his hostility towards my work with the Department of Justice shutting down diploma mills. Please feel free to contact me at the University of Illinois for more information, if you'd like. George Gollin g-gollin@illinois.edu
