X vs Twitter

[edit]

Please note that we refer to this platform by its WP:COMMONNAME, which is Twitter. Please don't change it to X as the default. Thanks. — Czello (music) 07:48, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

X is a common name, twitter is an outdated name Gahex220 (talk) 07:50, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
"Twitter" is used far more commonly than "X". Please see the FAQ at Talk:TwitterCzello (music) 07:56, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Since there was a move discussion in August that was closed as "not moved", this page move can't be considered non-controversial. You should definitely feel free to start a new move discussion to see if consensus has changed. But you really shouldn't move the page without discussion.
