Citations
[edit]Hi. Great work on expanding the Stichodactyla toxin article! In case you haven't already seen this, check out the template filler tool. Given a PMID, you can quickly create a fully formatted {{cite journal}} template that can be directly copied and pasted into a Wikipedia article. Using this tool will save you a lot of work and insure that citations are displayed in a consistent way. Cheers. Boghog2 (talk) 21:52, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Request reason:
Dear Dr. Wolff, I am a Professor of Physiology and Biophysics at the University of California of Irvine, with joint appointments in the Departments of Pathology, Microbiology and Molecular Genetics and Medicine. I have both an MD and a PhD. A few medical students and I have created a Medical Visual Learning Resource network on the free, open access platform Veomed.com. The purpose of this network is to promote discussion between medical students in different countries. As a consequence, I have reviewed many videos on Veomed and some powerpoint presentations as well. In my judgement, some of these are very good and would enhance the presentations on Wikipedia, especially the videos. None of these presentations are by me. I am not marketing any product. Medically and scientifically, I thought these presentations actually enhanced wikipedia. I am sorry you have accused me of spamming. My desire to edit and contribute to Wikipedia has dropped considerably. Have a good day. K. George Chandy
Decline reason:
I'm afraid that it is not appropriate for you to use Wikipedia to promote your own work, no matter how excellent that work might be, because our rules discourage us from adding links to our own web sites. If it is indeed your goal to help improve Wikipedia, when your block expires, you can help by improving the content of articles, citing the best available sources that verify that information. Don't worry; if your web site is indeed the best available source of information, it is inevitable that other users will use it to cite their improvements to various articles, or, if you like, you can suggest it as a source on an article talk page. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
