I apologize. Seems like NFCC#8 is more restrictive than what I thought it was. I guess that it's better to leave it without an image then. I will try to find a free image for it. Regards. — ΛΧΣ21 16:15, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for December 20
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Paul Thurmond, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page The Times-News (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Regarding image rename
I dont agree with renaming it so that Japanese to North America. Its unnecessary and should probably be renamed so that it has neither Japanese or North America. The file shouldnt have to be specific if there will only be one DS cover.Lucia Black (talk) 22:28, 22 December 2012 (UTC)

I just received
a note from you regarding File:Florek-wikipedia.jpg. That image was sent to me from someone with ties to the EMU theater department who published the picture. He told me that there was no copyright information on the program that it came from, so I posted it for him. I have no strong feelings about defending the use of the picture if a defense is needed. If you like I can email the department and ask them for an opinion. Einar aka Carptrash (talk) 17:02, 28 December 2012 (UTC)
- Florek was born in 1950, which would put him in college, say, in 1970, so the picture should be well before 1978. I will keep looking to pin it down. Thanks for the information. Carptrash (talk) 00:02, 29 December 2012 (UTC)
- I just found this: "Dann attended EMU from 1969 to 1975 and is married to an EMU alum." Do you need a citation? Carptrash (talk) 00:05, 29 December 2012 (UTC)
I will have to see if I still have the address of the person who sent it to me. My understanding is that it was scanned from a production program and sent to me. However I am aware that such "understandings" don't count for much, nor should they. I will continue my investigation, Carptrash (talk) 16:28, 29 December 2012 (UTC)
- I just emailed the theatre department of the university involved (did I mention that it was my old school?) and laid out the issues as I see them. Since the school is on break it is not likely that I will get an immediate reply but you will hear about it right after I do. What a world. Carptrash (talk) 16:54, 29 December 2012 (UTC)

Frasier Crane
I refer to your message on my talk page about your edit to this article. The English you use is, I am afraid, a little clumsy. Phrases like "but ends up robbed from his $500", "Although demand is completed" and "his friends lose the race and does not win cash prize" are stilted use of the language and do not improve on the article as it was before your changes. Even your use of the phrase "how is my writing badly" in your post shows that your written English needs work. Sorry. Britmax (talk) 10:08, 30 December 2012 (UTC)
Cheers Series
George, sorry, I should have let you know I was going to be unavailable over Xmas. I see you've finished adding episode summaries, and I'll try to do that copyediting you asked me to in the next few days. As I said at the time, it's very easy to do after you've done all the hard work, research and created the structure for the articles - that's the heavy lifting you've done right there, really, so I'm feeling like a bit of a slacker for neglecting it while I stuffed my face with turkey... Promise to get to it soon. Begoon talk 11:57, 30 December 2012 (UTC)

I'd say to give it about a month. If anyone is interested in working on an article pre-FAR, a month should be enough time for them to come forward. Don't forget to remove the nomination from the main FAR page; if no work is done, you can re-add the nom with a note saying that the talk page step was completed. DYK for Cheers (season 3)
On 2 January 2013, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Cheers (season 3), which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the third season of Cheers has a new psychiatrist, a pregnant waitress, a romantic childless triangle, and a dead coach? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Cheers (season 3). You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

To try and get you off deleting good articles, maybe you should look at these, Ugly Betty (season 1) episodes; and the images? — M.Mario (T/C) 17:23, 6 January 2013 (UTC)
- Look all I can say is that these articles are notable by themselves, and I will do the season articles as soon as I have time. So, I am going to revert the merge tags on the pages, and would you be able to give a green tick on the DYK nomination? — M.Mario (T/C) 17:41, 6 January 2013 (UTC)

TV seasons
If a show has one season there is no reason to have a season article. If it has more than one, then leave it to the editors of that show to decide the importance of having separate season articles. If Twin Peaks has two, Season articles may be worth creating.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 04:28, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
- Although Drovethrughosts, TheOldJacobite, ThunderPeel2001, Jv821, J.D., and The Singing Badger all have had more than 20 edits to the article, even if none of them want to create seasons articles now, it does not mean that they should not exist.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 04:37, 9 January 2013 (UTC)

Cheers
The history is a bit unclear, but as far as I can tell, you added the "This article consists almost entirely of a plot summary and it should be expanded to provide more balanced coverage that includes real-world context." template on to List of Cheers characters page.
Now, this was a year ago, and I find the template itself to be mostly unhelpful - what, more in detail, are you complaining about and what would you like to see done?
Most pressingly: how do you expect a page of fictional characters NOT to "almost entirely" consist of "plot summary". Every single detail about these characters can be called "plot summary"; yet, that is exactly the type of relevant information a reader would be looking for.
Please consider discussing the issue at the page talk and/or re-reviewing the page. Perhaps the template can be removed by now? I'll hold off awaiting some discussion related to this before I remove the template.

Jan Howard Sings Evil On Your Mind
Wow, this is interesting. The article is being nominated for something? What is it being nominated for exactly? This was not my original intention when creating the article, but I do appreciate the attention that it's getting! In any case, would you be able to explain to me why/what this "DYK" nomination means? ChrisTofu11961 (talk) 22:11, 21 January 2013 (UTC)
- I just educated myself on what you were talking about...I still would like to understand a little more about the process though. I can understand the problems you're having with the article, but the "critical reception" issue is nothing I purposely left out. Jan Howard Sings Evil on Your Mind is a dated LP record, and it has been out of print for decades. Therefore, album reviews were nowhere to be found via the world wide web (i don't have access to old music trade magazines that may have reviews on this). So, the chances of finding feedback to put in the article regarding "critical reception" are not likely.
- Using the blogspot source is risky I know, the place I found it from has a detailed and completed discography list, that included all of her recording sessions. That's why I included it, so that other people could see Jan Howard's detailed discography. I have another source in the article that lists her recording sessions, so I probably could remove the blogspot source if it's starting some major Wiki drama. However, in terms of the "critical reception", there's not much I can help you with there. I just wanted you to know that I wasn't intentionally leaving it out because I was "too lazy" to add another section in. I hope this helps. Let me know, thanks. ChrisTofu11961 (talk) 22:53, 21 January 2013 (UTC)
- I removed the Blogspot source and added a different source, which generalizes Jan Howard's discography and people can access each of her individual albums and view track information/personnel. I hope I fixed the problem, basically did all I could. Take care. ChrisTofu11961 (talk) 02:59, 22 January 2013 (UTC)
GOCE requests
Hi George. I've altered your GOCE requests for Cheers articles to be just for Cheers (season 1). We require that each GOCE request should be for just one article, and any requester can have at most three concurrent requests at one time. This is to ensure that every requester gets a fair slice of the cake. As you have just two requests at present, you can add a new separate request for season 2 at the end, if you like, and then wait until one of them is done before requesting season 3. Hi. Just thought I should contact you about this. As the disambiguated title redirects to the non-diambiguated title, there is no need to change links to the disambiguated title, as the redirect is not broken. As there is nothing wrong with linking to redirects, as long as the redirect works, you should not change it. Please read WP:NOTBROKEN for more information. If you have any questions, just ask. Thanks. –anemoneprojectors– 11:17, 24 January 2013 (UTC)

DYK for United States v. 11 1/4 Dozen Packages of Articles Labeled in Part Mrs. Moffat's Shoo-Fly Powders for Drunkenness
