Citations
[edit]Please format your citations correctly. The URL should not be enclosed in quotes. And it's not just the URL which is needed; you need to add a title, a publisher or work, an access date for web sources, etc. As an start, you can follow what Kokoro20 did with your cite (removed quotes, added title and accessdate.) See WP:CITE for more instructions. Binksternet (talk) 15:39, 24 August 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for the advice. I started formatting citations the way I do when I saw others doing it like that, I just assumed that was the correct way and didn't research further. I'll try and make edits more professionally from now on. Gingergod98 (talk) 16:03, 24 August 2015 (UTC)
- Also, since you recently made this edit to the Green Day article, keep in mind that if genres (or anything else in the infobox) are already cited to a source elsewhere in the article (as they already were in the Green Day article), the cites generally don't need to be in the infobox too, per WP:INFOBOXREF. Cites in the infobox are fine if the content is not already cited anywhere else in the article, but even then, citing the sources in the article body instead is preferable. License tagging for File:A Productive Cough.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:A Productive Cough.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 13:30, 4 January 2018 (UTC)
Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages.
