Hi Girlunderthesea. Do you mean your sandbox article on Geza von Hoffmann? If so, I'd be happy to move it for you, it looks excellent. Let me know by leaving me a note here if you want it moved into mainspace.

(Shouold have added: the reason you can't do it yourself is because your account isn't autoconfirmed yet - tomorrow, you should find that you can execute page moves yourself. You'll see a little drop-down menu next to the heart and star by the Search bar at the top of your page; choose "Move" from that and follow the instructions. See WP:MOVE for more details) Yunshui  13:16, 14 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you!

References in Geza von Hoffmann

[edit]

Hi Gilrunderthesea. I notice that when you created Geza von Hoffmann, you used two sources (Turda & Weindling and Kuhl) very extensively - in fact, most of the article is sourced to them. No problem with that, but repeatedly citing the same source over and over for different page numbers is a bit inefficient. Would you object if I adjusted the references to short citations instead? There's no hard-and-fast guide to footnotes in this respect, but if you're citing multiple pages from the same sources a lot, then short cites are just a bit tidier. Yunshui  08:56, 15 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No problem! Sorry, I'm an history major, I'm attached to citing everything perfectly. Can you wait just another day to do it though? I made this article as part of my graduation, and it all ends Tuesday evening. --Girlunderthesea (talk) 07:58, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That's fine, I'm in no hurry. (Somewhat premature?) congratulations on your graduation. I hope you'll continue to stick around and edit Wikipedia even when you aren't getting graded for it! Yunshui  08:02, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oh I will!! I had no idea how great a community it is. I'm so glad it was assigned. I've been trying to use more open source stuff and this has been a great experience! I did not realize how easy it was. I will especially love to help edit, if not make whole new articles. Thanks for all your help! --Girlunderthesea (talk) 08:06, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
