Now we would like to have your feedback about the overall campaign, how effective were the training sessions, the resources provided, the support etc.

Please fill the feedback survey at https://forms.gle/4TCicfYzjAGVvKTy6

Your responses are extremely valuable to us, and will be of immense help to understand further training needs or plan future activities in this area. Let us know if you have any questions.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Sri Kailash, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sudarshan (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Please explain your edits!

[edit]

While you have created some worthy articles on mountains, your recent spate regarding unnamed peaks is shocking. I'm fairly knowledgeable about Indian Himalayas, and have trekked there many times, and your recent articles try to pass off, what are in some cases, non-notable outcrops as some prominent mountains. This is not done! You're padding everything with surrounding features and using dubious references. Reliable sources are a must. Please read WP:GEOLAND. And can you please explain the "Cream Roll Mountain"? Please refrain from creating any more articles until you have addressed these issues and responded to the deletion debates. Thanks MaysinFourty (talk) 20:26, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@MaysinFourty: Thanks, that you noticed my work regarding Indian Himalayan peaks, and I appreciate that you have visited Himalaya and trekked in this beautiful part of the world. I myself is going in the Himalaya for the last 40 odd years. The name Cream Roll is found in Alpine club journal and I have matched the geolocation, in Uttarakhand list, it was mentioned as p. 6538. there are so many unnamed peaks above 6000 meter in this part of the world but that does not mean they are not worth mentioning. Mountaineers are looking for those unclimbed or virgin peaks to climb. There are so many peaks that do not have a name earlier but after some climb, people suggested some name and that's how a name came. There are no spate as you mentioned, as I worked in the Uttarkhand list if you have noticed that I have almost finished the mentioned name peaks first where I found some climbing history then only I had started for the unnamed peaks. as far as notability concern I really don't know the Wikipedia notability criteria for these beautiful peaks above 6500 metre which are found in this part of the world not in Europe or North America except a few in South America.--Goutam1962 (talk) 18:04, 23 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Firstly, thank you for your reply. Second, please don't take this personally at all. Please accept my apologies (for fuming a bit) and congratulations for having done some great work on Indian mountains and peaks! Thank you! But you have to keep in mind that not every peak or geographical feature is notable for Wikipedia. Yes, enthusiastic climbers from across the world look for unclimbed peaks all the time, and their efforts are reported in climbing journals blogs. But that does not make it notable for Wikipedia. Once again, please go through WP:GEOLAND link above and read the notability guidelines thoroughly. While you have done great work, you have been padding articles with neighbouring peaks and features just to increase the size. And you have the weird habit of including some completely irrelevant references, like that Times of India Devprayag story. Please slow down. This is not a numbers' game. You are doing great stuff, but please take more care. Every line needs to be well-referenced and we need to have substantial information about a peak or a mountain, or something more than just a name and its coordinates, before it can be included here. Once again, I apologise. But please take better care while sourcing. All the ones I've nominated above don't pass muster. For some examples in sourcing, you can look at articles like Matterhorn or Ama Dablam. Carry on the great work, but with caution and discretion. With kindest regards, MaysinFourty (talk) 07:29, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Goutam1962

I saw your work on mountains and recently, I created a page for Padmanabh and the wikidata page of the same that you had created in February 2019. So, I thought let me ping you because it was you who felt the relevance for creating a wikidata page for such a reclusive mountain. This new page (about this mountain), is dedicated to you. If you need any assitance in creating mountain pages feel free to connect. RPSkokie (talk) 15:32, 6 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
