Information icon Hello, I'm Karst. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added, because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Hello Graham,

Thanks for your message. If you check the Help pages where you left the message, you will notice that a number of people left a message when going through the history (see for instance this reply by @Fuhghettaboutit:). And while I appreciate that a great deal of work has gone into your website (not to speak of your collection!) I'm afraid it is not really suited under the guidelines of WP:EL. It falls under a personal website and is essentially a self-published source. Adding the link yourself creates another problem (hence the spam notice) in the sense that there appear to be a number of commercial interest tied up with the database relating to the Burning Helix website and WWRDB.

That said, there is obviously a wealth of information that you have accumulated over the years and you clearly are an expert on this type of music. That much is clear from the material on Essential Publications. To be honest, I think this where the greatest value lies with regards to Wikipedia contributions, as opposed to bury a link under EL's. Perhaps it would be a good idea to outline all this on your Userpage and take it from there. Hope that helps! Karst (talk) 12:40, 15 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
