Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Speedy deletion nomination of Makoons
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Makoons requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at [[1]]. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hello, I'm Deb. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you.
Hello, HarshalDhotre06. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.Deb (talk) 13:32, 1 March 2024 (UTC)
- Thank You for pointing it out, I’m going to consider it in my next article. HarshalDhotre06 (talk) 08:13, 6 March 2024 (UTC)
Zorko (brand) moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Zorko (brand). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and you may have a possible Conflict of Interest. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. GSS 💬 15:54, 1 April 2024 (UTC)
Previous accounts
[edit]How are you familiar with Wikipedia:Twinkle, Wikipedia:Shortdesc helper in your 13th edit and Wikipedia:HotCat in your 30th edit? You also seem to know how to reference as well as the structure for an article. I believe this isn't your first Wikipedia account as you are very much familiar with the tools, WP:SPI and policies related to WP:BLP and WP:COI. Would you mind disclosing your previous accounts on your user page?
I see that you did not notify the author of Kumar Vikram when moving it to draft. Is there any particular reason? Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 09:55, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
- when I move it to draft it usually automatically writes to author, not any particular reason for sure. SPI I learned when someone accused me of SOCK, about other accounts I dont have any only this account. HarryD (talk) 10:16, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
- Would you mind answering how you familiarized yourself with Twinkle, Shortdesc helper, and HotCat? Especially unsourced content related to WP:BLP. It takes months for editors to become familiar with Wikipedia's guidelines, styles, policies, and tools unless they have prior experience. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 10:42, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
- Its because I’m using Google Gemini type apps and inside wikipedia searches also looking at admins or reviewers contributions over the last few months, about hotcat, twinkle I found them into gadgets, its common today there has to be automation for informing authors about lot of things I searched it on google and ChatGPT etc, Basically I learned it quickly by looking at other’s editorial behaviour. HarshalDhotre06 (talk) 11:50, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
- Looking at your edits, you’re less than 2 years old, how did you learn so quickly and became reviewer, I guess you’re too a fast learner? HarshalDhotre06 (talk) 11:52, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
- Are any of my edits concerning to you? If not, you should stop questioning my experience here. Let me explain why your edits are concerning:
- Your lack of understanding about policies in XfD discussions.
- Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 12:56, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
- I accept this point, as looking at other voters they are talking policies and facts, I was just posting my personal votes its bcs I personally felt it that movie page or other referenced cited in articles, I found them as reliable either primary or secondary. But Understanding it after overviewing NINI, I was wrongly doing it. I’m reading NINI now, will not enter into XFD until I fully understand it. HarshalDhotre06 (talk) 13:26, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
- Editing over 10,000 times in less than two years gives an editor a lot of experience. Your 153 edits including the 28 that were deleted does not. Doug Weller talk 13:02, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
- I usually spend 1-2 hour on wikipedia mostly at new pages feed or India related articles generally, otherwise I’ve wide interest. So I generally visit articles via interest and I’ve developed interest into Wikipedia just Because of tags on the articles that talked about notability and paid editing, before that I never edited anything, when I tried editing movie article It asked me to create account or log in but I couldn’t edit Because it was protected. So I thought of learning it before I actually making edits. There’s best way to learn Wikipedia editing is Gemini & ChatGPT I’ve learned through that, the tools and guidelines explained in simple terms, any doubt I simply go to Gemini/GPT they have the answer, I mistakenly enabled some wiki-browser, afc-script, diff tool, cite expansion and the whole experience just got too confusing at the beginning then for to turn of I asked AI to help me through. I know this looks just too hard to believe but try yourself it works just exceptionally. HarshalDhotre06 (talk) 13:38, 21 April 2024 (UTC)

[edit]The purpose of your signature is to identify you as a contributor. By signing as 'HarryD', you are misleading other editors. Please revert it back. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 10:05, 21 April 2024 (UTC)

[edit] As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:HarshalDhotre06, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=HarshalDhotre06|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. GSS 💬 03:54, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
