Hi Hatio93, I know you put a lot of work into creating the Harper Whitley page but you have to understand Wikipedia is an encyclopedia - we do not allow articles about fictional people as if they are real. I have redirected the Harper Whitley page to the List of Shortland Street characters (2013) page / section where it would be great if you developed the character there. I will happily assist if you would like a copy of your work so you can use that to develope the character in the main article. MarkDask 17:19, 25 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from List of Shortland Street characters (2012) into Boyd Rolleston. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was moved, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 20:06, 25 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm AntiCompositeNumber. I noticed that in this edit to List of Shortland Street episodes, you removed all the content without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, I restored the page's content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. AntiCompositeNumber (Ring me) 04:57, 26 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi There, @AntiCompositeNumber: the page was blanked due to it not meeting the standard requirements for long running soap operas. The list is severely incomplete and there is no way of getting it up to date as older episode info cannot be retrieved from the web. I see the page was marked for delegation in 2008 but it was unmarked. Could you please delete it? Thanks, Hatio93 5:03, 26 November 2017 (UTC)
Also is it possible for Storylines of Shortland Street to also be deleted? There are other articles that cover the same topic, such as Storylines of Shortland Street (2010). All storylines are covered in a year by year article, so Storylines of Shortland Street is not needed. Thanks Hatio93 5:16, 26 November 2017 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of Neighbours characters (2017), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Damien Richardson (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 20:17, 7 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sources

[edit]

Hello, you may still be working on it, but can you please add your sources to List of Shortland Street characters (2018)? Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 08:24, 4 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Boleyn: Hi there, there is nothing to be sourced in the article yet, I have formatted the list so that it is ready to go when characters arrive in the 2018 series. - Hatio93 (talk) 12:37, 4 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hatio93, I think it was too soon for this list to be created. I'd advise redirecting it to the main Shortland Street article or cast list until there's a character to be added to it. At the moment it's an unsourced stub and there's nothing stopping an editor from having it nominated for deletion. - JuneGloom07 Talk 20:29, 8 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@JuneGloom07: I fully agree. I do see how I was a little hasty in making it. I will redirect now. – Hatio93 (talk) 01:12, 9 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Don't worry, we've all been there. I just didn't want to see it deleted, only for you to have to recreate it later. - JuneGloom07 Talk 00:51, 10 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring

[edit]

I've just taken another look at the history of List of Shortland Street characters (2015) and I think both you and User:Damolisher have violated the three-revert rule (possibly more than once). You need to stop the edit warring and start discussing the issues on the talk page. - JuneGloom07 Talk 00:06, 18 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@JuneGloom07: I wasn't aware that rule existed! Thanks for telling me! I have asked User:Damolisher to discuss issues on the talk page in my warnings. They seem to ignore them and continue to revert! They also seem to have added extra appearances to Virginia McCaskill's infobox that are less than a calandar year apart. I have opened a discussion at Talk: List of Shortland Street characters (2015). Thanks for your help and advice! — Hatio93 Talk 08:59, 18 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I missed your attempts at asking User:Damolisher to engage in a discussion, but I couldn't warn them and not you. - JuneGloom07 Talk 16:17, 18 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@JuneGloom07:No problem with missing the attempts to warn, I hope I did not sound as if I was having a go at you, I understand you need to be fair and warn me too! No problems :) Seeing as I have opened the discussion... how should the article remain in the meantime and when can my proposed changes go into effect? — Hatio93 Talk 05:58, 19 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
No it didn't, you're okay! I'd leave the article as it is for now, and wait a few days for User:Damolisher and whoever else edits the Shortland Street articles to reply. - JuneGloom07 Talk 16:34, 19 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@JuneGloom07: I feel that with the message Damolisher left in reply to you on their talk page shows he is not interested in looking at the rules or open to discussion. They don't seem to understand that citing things like WP:SOAPS, WP:FICTENSE or WP:CIVIL is actually relevant to making edits on this site. — Hatio93 Talk 09:00, 20 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
