Switzerland's violent crime and homicides rates dropped in half over the same course of time that they have dropped in half in the US - where there has been no new gun control that has had a measurable effect in the last twenty years. Switzerland had little gun control before 2007, but still had low rates without gun control. There's no evidence that Switzerland's recent gun control has had any effect on violent crime.
