[edit]Hello, I'm DVdm. I noticed that you recently removed all content from M. A. G. Osmani, with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, I restored the page's content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. DVdm (talk) 13:41, 18 September 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for the friendly remainder, dear DVdm. I was try to swap the name of both the article. M. A. G. Osmani, M. A. G. Osmany. Because the actual spelling page is the redirecting page to the wrong spelling. The main page name is M. A. G. Osmany, but in the article, every where osmani was used. How can this problem can be solved??
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

[edit]Hello Ibrahim Husain Meraj, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your addition to Dhaka University Film Society has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied without attribution. If you want to copy from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Ruby Murray 14:04, 8 January 2014 (UTC)
Nice to meet you!
[edit]Thank you for thanking me for one of my edits! It's good to see you editing pages about Bangladesh, and working on the SOO course. I just wanted to say that when you are creating talk pages, it would be good if you could add {{WP Bangladesh}}, which will place it in the Category:WikiProject Bangladesh articles. Wikipedia:WikiProject Bangladesh isn't a very active project, but if just a few more people become interested, it could become active, and then it would be helpful to have that category as complete as possible. You might want to get into rating the pages by importance, but that would be a huge amount of work and is not, I think, nearly as helpful as just making sure that the page is in the project category. It's good to see you around doing the careful edits that you have been making! Sminthopsis84 (talk) 13:31, 21 April 2014 (UTC)
- Hi again. Please pardon my boldness in changing your user pages. I've adjusted the categories on your user page to make use of a DU template that exists specifically for wikipedians to use. Rather than adding yourself to the wikiproject category, you might want to add your name at Wikipedia:WikiProject Bangladesh/Members. Best wishes, Sminthopsis84 (talk) 11:08, 22 April 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for your interest in the article which is quite sketchy. Would be nice if you could add information and photos Sidsahu (talk) 15:17, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
Avoid Edit-warring
[edit]Your recent editing history at Bhabanipur Shaktipeeth shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
It may be difficult to engage IP editors, but the effort should be made by initiating a discussion on the article's talk page and referring editors to that talk page in your edit summaries. Your version of the section may turn out to be the consensus one (I for one cannot understand the other party's English, or why they believe that text is relevant to the section), but administrators who may become involved in page protection or blocking users will want to see evidence of a good-faith effort to resolve the dispute.

G7 deletes
[edit]Bitalie Taskin Islam and her sister Kajalie Shehreen Islam were nominated for deletion by you. They both looked to be substantial articles, but why did you want them deleted? You can email me if you do not what to publish the reason. Or you ask for a restore too. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 12:21, 15 January 2015 (UTC)
Why You want to delete

[edit]Hi Ibrahim Husain Meraj,
"all those user vote for keeping, but no one contribute to improve the unreferenced articles" is quite simply an absurd comment to make - Just because we !voted Keep it does not mean we have to improve anything - All Keep !votes are expected to find and provide sources to back up there claims that's it!,
Colleges are kept per WP:SCHOOLOUTCOMES and that's it - If you're unhappy with that you'd need to get consensus to change it which lets be honest won't be anytime soon!,
So in future please keep the absurd comments to yourself.
Thank you. –Davey2010Talk 05:37, 2 March 2015 (UTC)

[edit]Hey there, can I suggest some feedback?
I see you have been relisting AfD's. This should only be done once they are over 7 days old, when consensus is not clear, and should not be done if you initated the debate, so I have reverted the relists (which were not done according to the instructions in any case). Additionally, adding Wikiproject banners or changing quality/importance should not be marked as minor. Thanks, Mdann52 (talk) 11:16, 5 March 2015 (UTC)

Don't Add Unsourced Content - Write the Article First
[edit]Your recent edit to Bogra District appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person or organization added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. Sub: "Daruchini Dwip" as native name for st. Martins island.
[edit]Hello Mr. Meraj, I saw that you have reverted the change made by me to remove the name "Daruchini Dwip" from the St. Martins Island/Bangladesh topic. I have checked many documents and no where this name has been found. I do travel to this island from last 15 years often for diving and camping. In past few years some hotel and boat started writing bannar as "Daruchini dip" and "Nijhum dip" for Chera Diya. Infact after discussing this many time with local (Native, not the shop/hotel owner who came from other districts to work there) found that the name infact started by the mouth of tourist visits there (who often looks for daruchini dip).
I hope wiki should not contain misleading info. Appreciate if you please point me to any authentic source which shows that the Native name of this island is Daruchini dip. — Preceding unsigned comment added by S21rc (talk • contribs) 13:48, 20 June 2015 (UTC)
License tagging for File:Brigadier General Abdul Hafiz addressing the press, 19 September 2003, Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Brigadier General Abdul Hafiz addressing the press, 19 September 2003, Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 10:06, 30 June 2015 (UTC)

Recent changes
- You can now use datasets on Commons. You can see an example that is using this source. [1]
- There is a new opt-in beta feature of a wikitext mode for the visual editor. You can try it out.
- When you update a page with translations on wikis with the Translate extension the existing translations will be marked as outdated instead of removed. [2]
- The new version of MediaWiki was released to all wikis last week (calendar).
- MoodBar has been removed from the Wikimedia wikis. [3]
- The
live
option for the Tipsy notice tool has been removed. Gadgets and user scripts which use it need to be updated. [4]
Problems
- Editors who use Firefox 50 might get logged out or fail to save their edits. This is because of a browser bug. Until this is fixed you can enter
about:config
in the address bar and setnetwork.cookie.maxPerHost
to 5000. Firefox 50 is the current version of the Firefox. [5]
Changes this week
- There is no new version of MediaWiki this week because of the Wikimedia Developer Summit.

Recent changes
- You can see new files on Special:NewFiles. You can now pick which dates you want to see files from. [6]
- When you read Wikipedia on a mobile device the first paragraph now comes before the infobox. [7]
- You can now remove navigation elements from your results when you search. This could for example be part of an infobox that is only there to help you find the previous or next article. [8]
- New users on Wikivoyages and Wikipedias (except French, English and German) now get a notification when a page they created is connected to Wikidata. Other wikis will get it 13 June. [9]
Problems
- The MediaWiki version from two weeks ago was rolled back. It was fixed late last week. Changes that were planned to go out last week did not happen. [10]
Changes this week
- Wikimedia wikis can show fewer links to articles in other languages. This is to make it easier to find the languages likely to be useful to the reader or editor. Everyone can still click to see the full list. Logged-in users who use the compact language links will see languages they have in their Babel box on their user page in the first, shorter list. You can turn the compact language list off or on in your preferences. [11]
- You can choose what dates to look at when you look at a user's contributions. [12]
- When you click on your watchlist in the mobile view you get a list of all pages in the watchlist instead of the latest changes to them. Logged-in users with at least ten edits will now get the latest changes instead. [13]
- The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 6 June. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 7 June. It will be on all wikis from 8 June (calendar).
- String comparisons in Scribunto modules are now always done case-insensitively by byte order. Before they were sometimes in a case-sensitive US-English collation order. This could break some modules. [14]
Meetings
- You can join the next meeting with the VisualEditor team. During the meeting, you can tell developers which bugs you think are the most important. The meeting will be on 6 June at 19:00 (UTC). See how to join.
Future changes
- The 2006 wikitext editor will be removed the week of 27 June. This is the old toolbar with small square blue buttons. You can see a picture of it. 0.03% of active Wikimedia editors use this old tool. They will not see a toolbar at all. [15][16]
- Wikimedia wikis use OCG to create PDFs. The OCG code has a lot of problems and will stop working. It has to be replaced. An alternative is Electron. You can tell the developers what you need the PDF service to be able to do. Electron already works on German Wikipedia. It will be on English Wikipedia later this week so you can test it there too. [17]
- The Architecture Committee will change and get a new name. You can read and comment on the draft that describes the new committee.
