I realize, of course, that you are here probably just to set up interwikies, but still think a welcome should be in order :) Bienvenue!—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); 21:51, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
- Hello,
- Even if my account on en:wp is actually mainly used to add interwikies, you're right, I appreciate your bilingual welcome message! :)
- There's a lot to do on fr:wp in my opinion, but maybe some day, I'll do a bit more useful stuff on en:wp…
- Isaac Sanolnacov 23:07, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
- That's perfectly fine, of course. Anyway, if you ever need help around en_wiki, feel free to let me know. Best,—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); 13:15, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
Crampton
[edit]I noticed your amendment to 4-2-0 today. I'm not totally familiar with the way Wikipedia works, but does this mean you've translated it into French and called it Crampton (Locomotive)? You may be interested to know there is another article in English Wiki called Crampton locomotive Perhaps some of the Crampton in "4-2-0" should be transferred on both Wikis, leaving it as a more general article. I have a bit more info on the Norris 4-2-0's in Lickey Incline. This raises another problem. The American and Norris locos were being built in the 1840s while the Crampton patent was approx ten years later and for a slightly different reason. I've still got a bit of research to do on this. - Thanks for your reply. The change showed up in my watchlist and I didn't notice the "-". I added to the article 4-2-0 the same day. For some of the "wheel arrangement" artcles there's not much to say, but the 4-2-0 has an interesting history. I don't know if a fr:210 (locomotive) article can be written. Linking to the Crampton locomotive may be confusing to readers as a 4-2-0 isn't (wasn't?) necessarily a Crampton. Chevin 12:31, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
