Doctor Satan Weird Tales cover

[edit]

Liked many other issues, the copyright for that issue of Weird Tales was not renewed, so the cover is actually a free image. Since the image you uploaded had been reduced in size/quality by an automatic process, I found a higher-quality image and uploaded it to Wikimedia Commons, then replaced the image in the article. As a result, you'll probably get an automatic warning that the image you uploaded is going to be deleted. Don't worry, the equivalent image remains in the article, and you won't need to do anything in response to the warning. Orphaned non-free image File:Weird Tales Magazine, May 1936 cover.jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Weird Tales Magazine, May 1936 cover.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:41, 20 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Doctor Satan (Weird Tales)

[edit]

The article Doctor Satan (Weird Tales) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (fiction) requirement. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back. Thank you. This proposed deletion was started by User:Piotrus

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. OASIS TOSCA

[edit]

Hello Jrsmi

You created the OASIS TOSCA English wikipedia page and said TOSCA was approved on 16 January 2014. Where did you get that date?

The standard document says 25 November 2013.

There was a vote to approve the standard also:

Opening: Monday, 11 November 2013 @ 12:00 am UTC

Closing: Sunday, 24 November 2013 @ 11:59 pm UTC

If you would rather discuss on OASIS TOSCA talk page or somewhere instead of here, fine by me.

Thanks very much
